This will be the final NBA picks article of the regular season. Of course, I’ll be continuing the picks through the playoffs, but what a wild ride it has been. There are eight games on tonight’s slate, with the only nationally televised one being the New Orleans Pelicans at Golden State Warriors to wrap up the night.
Last night, I stood still at 2-2 to bring the season-long record to 122-91-2 ATS (57.3%). Here are three more free NBA picks to close the regular season out on the right note.
Table of contents
- Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers (-13.5) – Total: 216.5
- Toronto Raptors at Dallas Mavericks (-13) – Total: 220
- New Orleans Pelicans at Golden State Warriors (-2) – Total: 224.5
Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers (-13.5) – Total: 216.5
ORL: back-end b2b, 3 in 4 (all on road), 4 in 6
PHI: back-end b2b, 3 in 4
Both teams are playing their second game in as many nights (and third in four nights), so I’m not expecting a high-scoring battle here. Not to mention, the 76ers need a win in their last two games to make the No. 1 seed official. I’m sure they’ll do that tonight, but the question is how many points it’ll come by? That’s why I feel confident taking the under here. Orlando is dead tired after these last few games, and Philly will not be playing any games on defense tonight.
Betting Pick: Under 216.5 points
Toronto Raptors at Dallas Mavericks (-13) – Total: 220
TOR: back-end b2b, 3 in 4
DAL: 3 in 4, 4 in 6
We’re probably going to see a ton of low-scoring games in the NBA tonight. One of those could very well be the Mavericks-Raptors matchup, one that only means a slight bit to the Western Conference playoff seeding. Currently, Dallas sits in the No. 5 seed, a half-game better than Portland. Nevertheless, Toronto has nearly every important player listed as “doubtful” since this will be its second game in as many nights and the third in four. Expect this one to fall under the total, just like the last three meetings between these teams have done.
Betting Pick: Under 220 points
New Orleans Pelicans at Golden State Warriors (-2) – Total: 224.5
NOR: 4 in 6 (all on road)
GS: 2 days rest
There are a lot of stars that probably won’t suit up tonight. After all, the Warriors are already set in their play-in round matchup and the Pelicans won’t be playing any games after Sunday as it is. But we know a lot of these guys that will be playing for Golden State tonight; this is basically the same group that has been getting trounced when the games matter. Now that this game is meaningless, I think these guys will have enough cohesion to get it done against a New Orleans team playing its fourth road game in six days.
Betting Pick: Warriors (-2)
