Thursday’s six-game NBA slate is ready to get us geared up for the weekend. NBA TV is only carrying one game this evening, and it’ll be the Brooklyn Nets at Indiana Pacers- that game will be covered in this space.
Last night, I went 1-2 to bring my season-long record to 109-74-2 ATS (59.6%). Here are three more free NBA picks to get back on track on tonight.
Table of contents
- Dallas Mavericks (-8.5) at Detroit Pistons – Total: 214.5
- Brooklyn Nets (-8.5) at Indiana Pacers – Total: 239.5
- Milwaukee Bucks (-12.5) at Houston Rockets – Total: 232.5
Dallas Mavericks (-8.5) at Detroit Pistons – Total: 214.5
DAL: 3 games in 4 days (all on the road)
DET: 2 days’ rest
I’m going with the underdog Pistons here, just simply because 8.5 points is too much. Detroit has been noticeably better at home, going 16-11 ATS there and 14-9-1 ATS as an underdog in The Motor City. In addition, the Pistons are 8-4-1 ATS with two days or more of rest before a game.
These two teams met last week, with the Mavericks getting a 10-point victory at home. That was particularly interesting since Dallas was a 10.5-point favorite that night.
Betting Pick: Pistons (+8.5)
Brooklyn Nets (-8.5) at Indiana Pacers – Total: 239.5
BKN: front-end b2b (vs POR tomorrow)
IND: normal rest
As a lifelong Nets fan, I knew all too well about the history of the Pacers smashing them. However, this season has been a much different story, as Brooklyn has won each of the first two meetings- and that was with the Nets as 1.5-point underdogs each time out. Not to mention, Indy is a dreadful 8-21 ATS at home and 6-13 ATS as a home underdog. Meanwhile, Brooklyn has been much more respectable on the road, going 16-14 ATS.
Betting Pick: Nets (-8.5)
Milwaukee Bucks (-12.5) at Houston Rockets – Total: 232.5
MIL: 4 games in 6 days, front-end b2b (@CHI tomorrow)
HOU: normal rest
It’s almost like taking candy from a baby when we bet against the Rockets at home. This once-prideful franchise is now 7-24 ATS on its home court this season and 5-17 ATS as a home underdog. While the Bucks aren’t necessarily playing their best basketball, this is a nice get-right spot against one of the worst teams in the NBA. Look for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest of Milwaukee’s roster to get in on the fun tonight.
Betting Pick: Bucks (-12.5)
