Friday’s 11-game NBA slate takes us right into another exciting weekend of basketball. The national-TV doubleheader will be seen on ESPN, featuring the Los Angeles Clippers at Philadelphia 76ers & New York Knicks at Dallas Mavericks.
Last night, I went 1-2 to bring my season-long record to 94-61-2 ATS (60.6%). Here are three more free NBA picks to increase the bankroll heading into the weekend.
Table of contents
- New Orleans Pelicans (-2) at Washington Wizards – Total: 240
- Memphis Grizzlies (-4) at Chicago Bulls – Total: 220.5
- Portland Trail Blazers (-2.5) at San Antonio Spurs – Total: 232.5
New Orleans Pelicans (-2) at Washington Wizards – Total: 240
NOR: normal rest
WSH: normal rest
I’ll start it out with this game tonight, taking the Pelicans to cover the small favoritism. Although New Orleans will be missing Nickel Alexander-Walker, it is getting Lonzo Ball back for the first time in over a week. And we saw the team struggle over that stretch. Washington went 4-2 SU/5-1 ATS on their recent six-game road trip, but this will be its first game home after a long road trip- a situation that many teams struggle in.
Betting Pick: Pelicans (-2)
Memphis Grizzlies (-4) at Chicago Bulls – Total: 220.5
MEM: 4 games in 6 days
CHI: 4 games in 6 days
These guys met on Monday, with the Grizzlies getting the 11-point victory. The Bulls’ situation was absolutely dreadful that night, playing on a B2B and long string of games. Things are just a mess for Chicago, which has lost four straight and 10 of the last 13. Not to mention, Zach LaVine will be out indefinitely after entering into the NBA’s health and safety protocol.
As much as I’m not thrilled with the current form of the Grizzlies, I’m much less thrilled with the opposition. The Bulls have lost each of their last four games by at least nine points.
Betting Pick: Grizzlies (-4)
Portland Trail Blazers (-2.5) at San Antonio Spurs – Total: 232.5
POR: 2 days rest
SA: 4 in 6, front-end b2b
We have got some great trends developing for the total going over tonight in the Spurs-Trail Blazers matchup. To start, nine of the last 10 meetings (and 12 of the last 14) have gone over the total. Also, ach of the last four Spurs’ games have gone over the total, as have seven of the last eight. The Trail Blazers are well rested for tonight’s game, with two full days of rest, and that’s good news for a team with as many offensive weapons as they have.
Betting Pick: Over 232.5 points
