The short four-game NBA slate on Tuesday night has plenty of action in store. Only one game will be on national TV tonight, as the Philadelphia 76ers will face the Denver Nuggets. I will have that game in the writeup, in addition to two others.
Last night, I had another 3-1 night to bring the season-long record to 70-43-2 ATS (62%). Here are three more free NBA picks to help increase your bankroll early in the week.
Table of contents
- Philadelphia 76ers at Denver Nuggets (-4.5) – Total: 220.5
- Orlando Magic at Los Angeles Clippers (-11.5) – Total: 215.5
- Atlanta Hawks at Phoenix Suns (-6.5) – Total: 221
Philadelphia 76ers at Denver Nuggets (-4.5) – Total: 220.5
PHI: 2 days rest
DEN: normal rest
I’ll be taking the under in this 76ers – Nuggets matchup, so I’ll keep this one short and sweet. The total has gone under in three of the last four meetings between the teams. In addition, this game has the lowest total decrease on the slate, going from 222 at the open to 220.5 currently
Betting Pick: Under 220.5 points
Orlando Magic at Los Angeles Clippers (-11.5) – Total: 215.5
ORL: normal rest
LAC: back-end b2b (vs MIL yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6, 5 in 7
Call me crazy, but I think we’ll see a close game here in LA tonight. And it’s very interesting, considering the Clippers are a perfect 8-0 ATS on the back end of back-to-back sets. However, they are playing on the tail end of a string of games that now makes this five over the last seven days. I would expect the Clippers to sit pretty much everyone valuable they have.
Betting Pick: Magic (+11.5)
Atlanta Hawks at Phoenix Suns (-6.5) – Total: 221
ATL: normal rest
PHX: normal rest, front-end b2b (vs CHI tomorrow)
After a nice surge of wins, the Hawks have now dropped three of their last four games. We can make the argument these recent struggles are a part of this brutal eight-game West Conference road trip they’re on. In recent games against quality opponents (Clippers, Nuggets), the Hawks didn’t look up to the test.
If ATL struggled with those opponents, Phoenix should give them even more trouble. The Suns are the NBA’s best ATS team, covering 66.7% of their games this season. And things have been going particularly well at home, with marks of 15-8 ATS at home and 14-6 as the home favorite.
You might even be able to get more value on the Suns if you live bet them, hoping the Hawks jump out to an early lead. I’ll have pieces of both, but it’s something to look out for on a short four-game slate.
Betting Pick: Suns (-6.5)
