As per usual, Thursday Night Football kicks off another thrilling week of NFL football. This week’s installment comes to us in the form of a matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars. While this might not exactly be must-see TV for most people, we bettors know that every football game is a chance to make some profitable wagers.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Jaguars are listed as three-point favorites with the total all the way up at 48 points. In fact, the total actually opened at 44 points, but the bettors have swarming the over and wound up making things more difficult for casual bettors.
Be sure to look out for more articles on the Sunday games, in addition to my early look ahead to the Week 3 schedule.
Claim $1000 Bonus From DraftKingsRyan Fitzpatrick – Over 267.5 Passing Yards (-112) | DraftKings Sportsbook
Through two games, the Jaguars are allowing the third-most passing yards in the NFL this season. And it’s not like they have faced some of the league’s best – Philip Rivers and Ryan Tannehill. Taking the over on Fitzpatrick in passing yards comes with a bit of stigma, though, as we all know that he can throw the ball all over the yard, despite sometimes throwing four picks in a single game. According to where the sharp money is heading, Jacksonville is expected to win this game convincingly. That means there will be a lot Fitzmagic garbage time, and plenty of heavy-throwing opportunities.
Laviska Shenault Jr. – Over 33.5 Receiving Yards (-112) | DraftKings Sportsbook
The Jaguars have done a fantastic job with Shenault so far, putting him in a number of different positions and formations. Tonight, though, will be the perfect opportunity to shine in the passing game. The Dolphins have two of the worst slot CBs in the league, so I’d expect that to be an area of the field that the rookie out of Colorado can exploit. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any markets on rush/rec yards combined for Shenault, but I still confident in this position.
James Robinson – Over 90.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-112) | DraftKings Sportsbook
Only three other teams have allowed more rushing yards than the Dolphins through the first two games. Robinson is in a nice bell-cow position as the Jags starting RB, so he’ll undoubtedly get a solid amount of work tonight. In fact, he has already hit the 90-yard mark in both games already this season. As I already mentioned, Jacksonville is supposed to win the game convincingly and that’s usually a good sign for RBs in that position.
