Early-Afternoon Parlay Wager
Parlay Odds: +372
$20 risk: $74.33 payout
2:00 p.m. EST – Detroit Pistons at Washington Wizards –
Over 232
The Pistons have scored at least 110 points in five of the
last six, and the total has gone over in just as many of those. This will be
the highest total for any Detroit game this season; four of the previous five
highest totals have gone over the total. In fact, two of the Pistons-Wizards games
had a total of at least 229 and both of them went over the total. While the
Wizards rank dead last in defensive efficiency, the Pistons are also down there
in the bottom third.
2:30 p.m. EST – Toronto Raptors ML (-330) at Atlanta
Hawks
The Raptors have been a solid team when favored by -7 or
more this season, going 9-0 SU/7-2 ATS. Today, they’ll be taking on a Hawks
team that is either dealing with a few injuries or just welcoming some players
back. Toronto is finally getting everyone back at full health, with Fred VanVleet
just coming back into the fold. This isn’t necessarily a spot to choose the
Raptors with the spread, but rather on the moneyline as part of a parlay.
3:00 p.m. EST – Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets ML (+115)
This is certainly an interesting line, considering the 76ers
were just favored at home by -7.5 on Wednesday. Philly could be without Al Horford
and that’ll be a detriment, especially with Joel Embiid out of the lineup. Don’t
forget, Brooklyn was leading most of the way on Wednesday before collapsing
down the stretch. With the exception of that late collapse, the Nets have
played well against the 76ers in each of the two meetings, even winning the
first meeting outright. Philly was a -3.5 and -6.5 favorite against Brooklyn in
each of those games, so it’s interesting to see the line here at -2. In the game
where the 76ers were favored by -3.5, the Nets won outright by 20 points.
Low-Risk NBA Parlay Bet
Parlay Odds: +160 odds
$20 risk: $31.87 payout
This NBA parlay bet
focuses on winning your stake back and then some. This parlay is for the bettor
who prefers low risk/low yield parlay bets. Remember the saying “slow and steady
wins the race?” Well, this parlay bet won’t set the world alight, but it’s your
best chance of beating the NJ sportsbooks.
5:00 p.m. EST – Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks ML (-1200)
This will be the largest underdog the Bulls have been all
season, at 14 points. In fact, three of their four biggest underdog spreads (+11.5,
+9, +8.5) this season have been in matchups against the Bucks. Those matchups
haven’t gone well, with Milwaukee winning the three games by nine, 21 and 14
points. The Bucks are rocking and rolling lately, with six straight wins – four
of those coming by 20 or more points.
5:00 p.m. EST – Sacramento Kings at Miami Heat (ML: -260)
The Heat haven’t been a great team on the back-end of B2B
sets (1-4-2 ATS), but only one of those games were played at home – and they won
that game outright. In this scenario, we’re just asking for Miami to win the
game outright as part of a parlay, not necessarily cover the spread. As an
underdog of +5 or more this season, the Kings are 3-13 SU/8-8 ATS.
9:00 p.m. EST – Indiana Pacers at Utah Jazz ML (-290)
The Pacers got an impressive win in Denver last night, but
we all know this Denver-to-Utah B2B set is the toughest in basketball. Indy is
0-5 SU/2-3 ATS when underdogs of +5 or more. Utah finally had its double-digit-game
winning streak broken on Thursday, but this is still a team that hasn’t lost
outright at home since Dec. 9. The spread is oddly a little too low for this situation.
However, we’re confident in Utah just getting the outright win as part of a
parlay.
10:00 p.m. EST – Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail
Blazers ML (-350)
Despite struggling for most of the season, the Trail Blazers
have been a strong team when favored by -7.5 or more, posting a 5-1 SU/4-2 ATS
record. That one loss, however, did come to the Warriors back in November. Nonetheless,
it was on the road and we’re just looking for Portland to win outright as part
of a parlay. CJ McCollum will miss his second game with an ankle injury but
Damian Lillard and Carmelo Anthony are really all this team needs against a
watered-down version of Golden State.
Medium-Risk NBA Parlay Bet
Parlay Odds: +378
$20 risk: $72.52 payout
This parlay bet focuses on winning your stake back and then
some. This NBA parlay bet is for the bettor who prefers an evenly balanced
payout/risk ratio. The bettor who wants a decent payout, but is not reckless
with their parlay picks.
5:00 p.m. EST – New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies
ML (-128)
This should be a fantastic matchup between two of the hottest teams in the NBA. The Grizzlies have won seven straight (6-1 ATS) while the Pelicans have won 10 of the last 15 (12-2-1 ATS). New Orleans has been playing surprisingly well without Jrue Holiday over the last few games and could now be without Derrick Favors and Jahlil Okafor. Memphis is the healthier team in this situation, so that could potentially lead to victory.
5:00 p.m. EST – Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets ML
(-280)
Russell Westbrook gets another crack at his old squad, and redemption is the word of the day. It’s also probably time for the Rockets to pick themselves up off the mat, losing four of their last five games. Now would be a good time, considering OKC has lost three of its last five games. There were some solid trends for OKC in some of these losses, and they still managed to lose those games. Look for the Rockets to take out some of those recent frustrations on OKC and win the game.
7:30 p.m. EST – Los Angeles Lakers ML (-112) at Boston
Celtics
The Celtics have been reeling, with three straight losses
and dropping six of the last eight. That’s the polar opposite of the Lakers,
who have won 10 of their last 11 – the only loss came by one point. It’s
impressive that LA has been doing so well without Anthony Davis. However,
Boston may have some slack of its own to pick up if Kemba Walker and Jaylen
Brown miss this game – they’re both listed as questionable.
Big-Payout NBA Parlay Bet
Parlay Odds: +1309
$20 risk: $261.81
This NBA parlay bet focuses on maximizing your winnings. This
NBA parlay bet is for the bettor who is looking for the big payout from the NJ sportsbooks.
The higher odds mean beats but we’re shooting for the stars here! No one ever
bragged they won $10 and as such, so this is for the bettor looking for the big
parlay win.
5:00 p.m. EST – Orlando Magic at Charlotte Hornets – Under
207.5
This is the lowest total on the entire slate, and it comes
with good reasoning. The Magic have been one of the best defensive teams in the
NBA and take on a Hornets team that is basically on vacation. It’s one of the
most awkward scheduling quirks we’ve seen, but Charlotte had four full days off
before today’s game; after Monday, it’ll have three full days off and then
another three-day layoff before playing again. This, my friends, is the work schedule
we have all been dreaming of. Imagine yourself in that scenario – you’d
probably be loafing at the office. That’s what we expect the Hornets to do,
especially with tons of defensive resistance from the Magic.
5:00 p.m. EST – New York Knicks at Cleveland Cavaliers ML
(-120)
Much like we saw in the Brooklyn-Philly matchup, we’re seeing the usual underdog favored this time around. The Knicks were favored in the previous two meetings and only came out on top in one of those. In addition, New York has only covered the spread twice in the last seven games while Cleveland has been much better with five covers over the last seven.
8:00 p.m. EST – Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves ML
(-136)
If you’re wondering why the Nuggets are underdogs against
the T-Wolves, there’s a couple of good reasons. For one, they’ll be playing on
the back-end of a B2B set, where they are 1-6 ATS this season; although, four
of those non-covers could have gone either way. The other is that the Nuggets
are banged up like no other with Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and Paul Millsap all
likely to be out once again.
The T-Wolves are trying to stop a five-game losing streak,
now without Jeff Teague and Treveon Graham. On Friday, Karl-Anthony Towns came
back into the lineup so that is good news for the team going forward. We wouldn’t
be surprised at all if the T-Wolves pull the upset here, considering the Nuggets
rugged schedule of late – it’s actually their second B2B set over the last six
days.
9:00 p.m. EST – San Antonio Spurs ML (+132) at Phoenix
Suns
Well-rounded teams like the Spurs can play well on the
back-end of B2B sets – hence, their 2-1 SU/ATS record in that short sample
size. The Suns are coming off an impressive win in Boston on Saturday. However,
they’ll also be returning home from an East Coast road trip and still might
have some tired legs. We don’t think the B2B set will have an effect on the
Spurs and they should be just fine in this one. Phoenix hasn’t been great as a
home favorite this season, going 6-9 ATS.
