Parlay
bets are a great way to switch up your sports betting and combine a few betting
picks together to bump up your payout. In this article, we’ll provide you with
our top NBA parlay bets for Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020. We study the odds, the
betting lines, and the teams, and to give you our recommended parlay bets.
The following three NBA parlay picks offer
a low, medium, or high payout. Our low payout parlays try to minimize risk and
odds start near +200 or higher in an effort to double our stake. Likewise, our
medium and high payout parlays offer higher payouts with higher odds, but
higher odds mean a smaller chance of winning.
In other words, are you after the big payout or more consistent wins?

7:00 p.m. EST – Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics ML (-500)
The Celtics have a strong 23-7 SU record when favored this
season. However, that number dips to 16-12-2 ATS in that situation. We feel
like we can make things a lot easier by taking the Celtics on the money line,
considering the Pistons are 6-18 SU as an underdog. Typically, this isn’t a spot
we’d feel worried about, but Boston does play in Milwaukee the following night.
Perhaps, there’s a chance the Celtics are caught looking ahead early and the
double-digit spread is tougher to hit. Nonetheless, let’s play it safe and take
them outright.
8:00 p.m. EST – Toronto Raptors at Oklahoma City Thunder ML (-128)
This one is a thing of beauty for the trending folks out there. OKC has the best ATS record at 27-13 and all sorts of profitable numbers in certain situations. One of them is their perfect 8-0 SU/ATS record when favored by -1 to -4.5 this season. Things are much worse for OKC as heavy favorites, going 5-3 SU/1-7 ATS when favored by -5.5 to -12. Point in case – they’re better when they’re not expected to do much.
Another great trend comes from their opponent in this matchup. Toronto is coming off a long rest before tonight’s game, where it owns a 4-6 SU/2-8 ATS record on 2-3 days of rest. Pascal Siakam just returned but the Raptors are still missing a key piece in Fred VanVleet.
9:00 p.m. EST – Charlotte Hornets at Denver Nuggets ML (-480)
The Hornets have been a pesky bunch this season, but we’re
just looking for the Nuggets to take this game outright. Charlotte is closing
out its West Coast trip, making it the fourth game in six days. Now, having to
play in the high altitude of Denver will make it that much tougher. The Nuggets
have a solid 16-5 SU record at home and 7-3 SU record when playing on 2-3 days
of rest.
10:00 p.m. EST – Orlando Magic at Los Angeles Lakers ML (-480)
The Magic have not been a good underdog at all this season, going
5-18 SU/9-12-2 ATS. What’s interesting about that number is that four of those
outright wins/covers came when the spread was +2 or lower. When the spread was
+2 or higher, that record dropped off a cliff to 1-17 SU/4-12-2 ATS. It’s no
secret that Orlando has been much worse on the road, so we like LA to do some
serious damage in this one. Especially if Anthony Davis gets back in the lineup
for the Lakers.

7:30 p.m. EST – San Antonio Spurs at Miami Heat (-5)
Both teams had two days off in between games and that
clearly favors the Heat, who are 7-2 ATS in that situation – the Spurs are 2-4
ATS this season. Not to mention, Miami is 11-4-1 ATS as a home favorite and 9-2
ATS after a loss. It’ll also be nice for the Heat to get back home, where they
have a 17-1 overall record (11-4-1 ATS). Miami has only played at home twice in
the new year, so look for them to have a big performance. The Spurs are playing
well, with three wins over the last four, but they’re due for a letdown tonight.
7:00 p.m. EST – Brooklyn Nets (+7.5) at Philadelphia 76ers – Total: 218.5
The Nets have surprisingly done well, or at least kept games close, on the back-end of B2B sets. Three of the four games in that scenario were single-digit games (one OT loss) and the other was a 20-point drubbing of tonight’s opponent.
The 76ers have not been playing well at all, losing six of the last eight games. Not having Joel Embiid has certainly hurt, and this is still a team trying to find some sense of identity with Ben Simmons leading the way. The Nets may not win this game but we believe they can at least keep it within arm’s reach.
9:30 p.m. EST – Portland Trail Blazers at Houston Rockets (-8.5)
The Rockets hammered the Trail Blazers by 24 in the last meeting back in mid-November. And things haven’t been going much better for Portland of late, with a 3-8 SU/2-9 ATS record over the last 11 games. It’s not a total surprise the Trail Blazers find themselves with their largest-biggest spread of the season at +8.5. Portland has been a +3 underdog or more 11 times this season and owns a dreadful 0-12 SU/2-10 ATS record in that scenario – ouch!
The Rockets will be playing their second game in as many nights but Russell Westbrook will be back in the lineup after taking Tuesday night off. James Harden is playing on another level and he’ll be there too.
Big-Payout NBA Parlay Bet

$20 risk: $188.47 payout
This NBA parlay bet

is looking for the big payout from the NJ sportsbooks. The higher odds mean beats but
we’re shooting for the stars here! No one ever bragged they won $10 and as
such, so this is for the bettor looking for the big parlay win.
8:00 p.m. EST – Indiana Pacers at Minnesota Timberwolves – Over: 218.5
This will be the front-end of a home-and-home series, so expect these teams to make a statement early. Since the total is a narrow margin, we should see plenty of points and even have the backboard of a possible overtime game, which would give us extra points.
Both of these teams have been involved in high-scoring games lately. Indy games have gone over in five of the last six while Minnesota games have gone over in three of the last four. Karl Anthony Towns could possibly make a return tonight and that would increase the likelihood of more points being scored.
8:00 p.m. EST – Washington Wizards ML (+160) at Chicago Bulls
Believe it or not, the Wizards are playing some good basketball over the last few games. They’ve had two full days of rest before tonight’s game while the Bulls are playing their fourth game in six days with a matchup in Philly looming on Friday. There’s also something else we need to be cognizant of. The Bulls have been a solid favorite when the number is between -6.5 and -9.5 – they are 4-1 SU/ATS in that situation.
However, when the number is between -1 and -4.5, their record significantly drops to 4-7 SU/3-8 ATS. Those numbers and the rugged stretch of games for Chicago could lead to a letdown performance here. Zach LaVine vs. Bradley Beal will certainly be a great matchup to watch.
10:00 p.m. EST – Dallas Mavericks at Sacramento Kings ML (+110)
This will be the second time the Mavericks are facing the Kings on the back-end of a B2B set. The last time that happened, Sacramento won 110-106 outright in Dallas. Now, with this game being in Sacramento, we believe the Kings can take advantage and pull the upset.
It’s worth looking at the spread of the game and seeing Sacramento as a slight underdog. This gives us an idea that Dallas could be in for a long night playing its second game in as many nights. As a slight underdog of +1.5 to +4 this season, the Kings are 4-2 SU/ATS.
