That added motivation should send the fans home happy until next season.
New York Giants at Washington Redskins -2.5 (-110)
The Bengals aren’t the only ones trying to solidify their
draft position. It’s not every day that you get a chance to get the No. 2 pick
twice in three years, but that’s exactly what the Giants are trying to do. A
loss on Sunday would put them in a spot to possibly land DE Chase Young from
Ohio State. It’s not all about the Giants, though, because the Redskins are
playing good football under interim head coach Bill Callahan. Since taking
over, Washington is more committed to running the ball and that’s been working
well. Come to think of it, any method that teams use to move the ball against
the Giants is a good one.
Carolina Panthers at Indianapolis Colts -6.5 (-114)
After getting smoked on Monday Night Football, the
Colts will be looking to take their aggression out on someone. Unfortunately,
that will be the Panthers, who are starting rookie QB Will Grier for the first
time. When Cam Newton went down with an injury and Kyle Allen stepped in, everyone
thought that a changing of the guard would happen. After a few weeks of decent
performances, things fell flat and now here we are. Teams that get clobbered in
primetime typically come back with strong showings the next week. We expect to
see a spirited effort from the Colts on Sunday.

That Raiders game last week – yikes! It was a truly heartbreaking way to end things in Oakland. However, there’s no way the Chargers should be favored by this much. Especially after that performance against the Vikings last week. Speaking of teams leaving their homes, this will also be the last game for the Chargers in their temporary home. There will be a ton of Raiders fans there, and wouldn’t it be great if they went in there and spoiled that farewell? The story basically writes itself, folks.
Kansas City Chiefs ML (-240) at Chicago Bears
Since we had two underdogs outright, we can take some liberties with the final pick of the big payout. Prior to taking the field on Sunday night, the Chiefs will know exactly where they stand in the AFC Playoff picture. All of the teams near them in the standings will play before them and that should put their minds at ease. As for the Bears, their slim playoffs were dashed last week and would certainly rather be doing anything else besides facing one of the most dynamic offenses of the decade in the freezing cold. We only need KC to win this game outright, but if Baltimore or New England slip up and lose this weekend, we wouldn’t mind taking the -6 spread on this game and increasing the payout.
