The NHL regular season gets back underway six games on the second night after the All-Star break. In this article, I will provide my top three hockey picks tonight to make a maximum profit on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
The three games being discussed tonight are the Nashville Predators at Dallas Stars, Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames & Arizona Coyotes at Seattle Kraken. Let’s dive right in and see where the value is tonight.
Our Favorite NHL Picks Today (2/9/22)
Nashville Predators at Dallas Stars
NHL Pick: Under 5.5 Goals (-105)
Both teams hit the ice for the first time since the All-Star break. The Predators won the first meeting against the Stars in Dallas by the score of 4-2, and I like them to get yet another win in this battle. However, it is the total that I’m more intrigued by.
While Dallas is 15-6-1 at home, Nashville comes in sporting a fine 14-7-4 road record of their own. Both sides have their own sets of pride, and I think this will be a tightly contested game. As I mentioned at the top, it’s their first game coming back from the All-Star break, and there could certainly be some choppy play at the onset.
Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames
NHL Pick: Golden Knights ML (+115)
We just saw a similar situation last night (which I called), where the Devils were on the back-end of a back-to-back set playing a team (Canadiens) in their first game back from the All-Star break. Well, the Devils won 7-1.
After winning 4-0 in Edmonton last night, Vegas will take its show on the road into Calgary, which is playing its first game since the ASB. The Golden Knights have been one of the more exciting teams in hockey, and they’ve finally gotten back on the good foot with three straight wins now. After all, the Golden Knights have gotten healthier. Getting plus-odds here is an absolute steal.
Arizona Coyotes at Seattle Kraken
NHL Pick: Coyotes ML (+185)
I remember betting on the first meeting between these two teams- it was an absolutely wild affair as the Coyotes got their first win of the season in a 5-4 victory. It would be hypocritical to not take the same logic as the game above, so that means I’m rolling with Arizona once again.
Although the Coyotes got thumped 5-1 on the road by the Canucks last night, the Kraken will be playing their first game since the ASB – and the sharps seem to agree. Looking at the betting landscape, the Kraken are getting 70% of the money while the Coyotes are getting 70% of the money.
