The NHL schedule only has three games again tonight. In this article, I will provide my top three hockey picks tonight to make a maximum profit on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
The three games tonight are the Arizona Coyotes at New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs at New York Rangers & Colorado Avalanche at Anaheim Ducks. Let’s dive right in and see where the value is tonight.
Our Favorite NHL Picks Today (1/19/22)
Arizona Coyotes at New Jersey Devils
NHL Pick: Arizona Coyotes ML (+175)
Looking at the betting landscape, the Devils are getting almost all of the money in tonight’s matchup against the Coyotes. That’s never a good situation, even when they’re playing against the worst team out West.
The Coyotes are actually coming off a 5-2 win in their last game, which also came against another basement-dwelling team in the Canadiens. In fact, Phoenix has held its own against Colorado and Toronto in recent games. It appears like the Coyotes are on the right track, or at least playing well enough to win with odds that are this appealing.
Toronto Maple Leafs at New York Rangers
NHL Pick: Under 5.5 Goals (-105)
The total opened at 6.0 and then dropped down to 5.5 not long after. I believe this has a lot more to do with the Rangers, who have goaltender Igor Shesterkin back in the mix. Whether it’s going to be him or Alexandar Georgiev, the Rangers are going to give the Maple Leafs more than a few fits tonight.
New York has held opponents to just six goals over the last four games, and that defense will need to be there against such a strong offense as Toronto. The Maple Leafs have scored 4+ goals in four of their last five games, but I’m expecting a much grittier game than they have seen against recent opponents.
Colorado Avalanche at Anaheim Ducks
NHL Pick: Colorado Avalanche -1.5 (+100)
The current form of each team is certainly built into the massive odds we’re seeing in this Avalanche-Ducks matchup. Colorado has won eight of its last nine games since the brief hiatus that took place during the middle of the NHL season. On the flip side, Anaheim has really struggled with a 2-7 record since the break.
Taking the puck line here gives us some phenomenal odds with an even better offense trying to score goals tonight. Each of the Ducks’ last six losses has come by 2+ goals, with them losing the last three by at least 3+ goals.
