The line has moved down in favor of the Cardinals, who have actually limped into the playoffs with four losses over the last five games. The Rams, on the other hand, have won four of their last five, making the line movement even that much more intriguing.
Looking at the betting landscape this morning, the Rams are getting slightly more bets (55%) while the Cardinals are getting much more money (76%). I will follow the money, and the incredibly mobile QB Kyler Murray to make some exciting plays tonight. After all, the Cardinals did win in their earlier trip to SoFi Stadium back at the beginning of October.
Over 50 Points (-110)
Neither of the earlier two meetings was particularly close; the Cardinals did lose the second meeting by seven points but needed a very late push in order to do so. Both games exceeded tonight’s 50-point total and I would expect more of the same.
If James Connor will be able to return for the Cardinals, this game will have a much better chance of going over the total. They are still without DeAndre Hopkins, and that hurts, but Arizona has one of the best WR depth charts in the NFL.
Kyler Murray – Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Given all those injuries (and the possible absence of Connor), Murray will likely need to get some yards with his legs. In the two meetings against the Rams this season, Murray ran for 39 and 61 yards and no touchdowns.
You have to believe Murray exceeds the 39.5-yards number tonight, considering this is the biggest game of his career. In order to keep that massive Rams defensive-front off balance, the Cards will need to get creative and let their best playmaker do his thing.
