Welcome back to another preview of the best NBA player prop bets on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. In this article, I will identify my best NBA player props tonight to make a maximum profit and get us some more money to get going this week.
Tonight, we will look at Joel Embiid, Trae Young & De’Aaron Fox, who are showing the best value in the NBA player prop bets markets.
Best NBA Player Props Today (1/12/22)
Charlotte Hornets at Philadelphia 76ers
Player Prop Pick: Joel Embiid – Over 31.5 Points (-110)
Embiid has eerily landed on 31 points in each of his last four games, so I certainly expect him to get over the hump with just one more point! I bet you he could score exactly 31 points in four straight games again if he tried. Let’s not lose sight of the overall picture, though, as Embiid is looking for his eighth-straight 30-point output.
This is a fantastic matchup against the Hornets, who rank third-worst in the NBA in terms of limiting fantasy points. Of course, there’s a lot more that goes into that number than just scoring, but we all know Embiid’s body of work; this is a guy that is capable of going ballistic on any given night.
Miami Heat at Atlanta Hawks
Player Prop Pick: Trae Young – Under 26.5 Points (-110)
The Heat has a Top-10 defensive efficiency in the NBA once again, really to no one’s surprise. Aside from one 50-point output in February 2020, Miami has held Young to under 26.5 points in all of the other nine meetings. In fact, Young has only scored 20+ points in three of the nine meetings.
It’s rarely a good idea to go up against the Heat defense with any type of optimism on offense. Considering these teams are in the same division, Miami has a good idea of the tendencies Young has.
Los Angeles Lakers at Sacramento Kings
Player Prop Pick: De’Aaron Fox – Over 21.5 Points (-115)
It hasn’t just been Fox struggling of late- in fact, it has been the whole Kings team. It’s now five straight losses for Sacramento, and Fox has only scored a combined 26 points over the last two games. With the Lakers coming to town, now is the time for Fox to step it up and help his team get the win.
Before Fox had that recent two-game slump, he did score exactly 30 points in three straight games. In fact, Fox has actually scored 30+ points in two of his last three meetings against the Lakers. That makes sense, considering he’s super quick and the Lakers don’t have too many spritely bodies to chase after him.
