There are only three games on the NHL schedule, with more than half of the slate getting clipped by the COVID-19 outbreak. Not to worry, tomorrow’s schedule of games is loaded with eight of them!
In this article, I will provide my top three hockey picks tonight to make a maximum profit on Monday, January 10, 2022. Those games include the Boston Bruins at Washington Capitals, Seattle Kraken at Colorado Avalanche & New York Rangers at Los Angeles Kings.
Our Favorite NHL Picks Today (1/7/22)
Boston Bruins at Washington Capitals
NHL Pick: Boston Bruins ML (-105)
Bettors absolutely piled on the Bruins tonight, with 60% of bets heading that way and 90% of the money doing the same. And it makes sense, considering the Capitals have lost three straight games while the Bruins have won four of the last five games since taking a miniature hiatus in the schedule.
During the Bruins’ recent string of success, they have scored at least four goals in four of those last five games. Look for them to keep the good times rolling, and the Capitals will drop their fourth in a row.
Seattle Kraken at Colorado Avalanche
NHL Pick: Colorado Avalanche -1.5 (-160)
The Avalanche are massive -400 favorites on the moneyline tonight, so there is the possibility for an absolute whitewash. When looking at this massive spread, it is certainly in line with our way of thinking; the Kraken has lost five straight games and is 4-14 against their fellow Western Conference opponents.
Taking Colorado on the puck line is the best way to go in this matchup, considering we have seen this story before. The Avalanche put a heavy 7-3 win on the Kraken the first time these two teams met this season.
New York Rangers at Los Angeles Kings
NHL Pick: Los Angeles Kings ML (-110)
Looking at the betting landscape, the Rangers are getting 80% of the bets and 90% of the money. As I always love to say, I zig when they zag; that is just way too much money heading towards the Rangers on the road.
The Kings have actually been playing some strong hockey of late, winning three of the last four games. In fact, the Rangers have won four of the last five too, but you can’t love how much money is heading in their direction.
