Welcome back to another preview of the best NBA player prop bets on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. In this article, I will identify my best NBA player props tonight to make a maximum profit and get us some more money to get going this week.
In this article, we will look at the following players: Obi Toppin, Chris Paul & Marvin Bagley.
Best NBA Player Props Today (1/4/22)
Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks
Player Prop Pick: Obi Toppin – Under 17.5 Points (+100)
It took a season-high 45 minutes for Toppin to score a season-high 19 points on Sunday against the Toronto Raptors. Sure, he will probably get more minutes once again with all the injuries to the Knicks, but this isn’t a prototypical scorer that we’re talking about.
As mentioned, Toppin has only topped out at 19 points this season. I’m not expecting a breakout performance here once again versus a Pacers defense that plays well as a team. Indy has some notable injuries as well, but New York still won’t avoid the best two down low: Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner.
Phoenix Suns at New Orleans Pelicans
Player Prop Pick: Chris Paul – Over 9.5 Assists (+110)
CP3 faces one of his many former teams that he’s played for in the past. Luckily, this Pelicans team isn’t too good on defense, allowing at least 115 points in three of their last four games. In addition, they own the fourth-worst defensive efficiency in the NBA.
Last game, Paul was still able to drop 16 assists despite blowing out the Charlotte Hornets by 34 points on Sunday. Look for him to keep that same momentum and distribute the rock to his talented teammates.
Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Lakers
Player Prop Pick: Marvin Bagley Jr – Over 7.5 Rebounds (-105)
This is a big game for both sides tonight in LA as they would like to keep the momentum going. Both teams won their first games of 2022, respectively, and now it’s time to look towards the future.
With Richaun Holmes out of the lineup, Bagley will be able to get more playing time – and rebounds – as a result. His size will be needed against a large Lakers front line, so that will also get him on the court for more minutes.
