NFL Week 14 is here, and that means it’s time to start digging in on the slate early. Before some of these spreads move away from our favor, we can find value in taking them at the start of the week. In this article, I will identify my favorite NFL Week 14 Picks Against The Spread.
This week, there are three NFL picks to make before the lines go up for the following games: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team, New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers & Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
So let’s dive in and take a look.
Week 14 NFL Picks Against The Spread
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team
I will take 4.5 points all day on a home underdog in a divisional game. Not to mention, we’re getting a team whose defense is rounding back into form and the running game is popping with Antonio Gibson. It didn’t look like Washington would be in this position towards the end of the season, but five straight wins have put them two games behind Dallas for the division lead.
A very early look at the weather report for Landover, MD shows there could be some rain in the forecast. If that’s the case, the rain will help slow down the Cowboys’ offense and keep this right around a field goal game. With all of that being said, the +4.5 is right where you want to be.
Pick – Washington Football Team (+4.5)
New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers
Give me the Chargers by a billion! The Giants have some serious issues to deal with the QB position as Daniel Jones and Mike Glennon are both looking unlikely to play on Sunday. That means that former Georgia Bulldogs QB Jake Fromm would be getting the start; he still hasn’t seen the field for a regular-season snap in the NFL but did get minimal work in the preseason. This line was actually at Chargers -7.5 on Monday, but that has now been swept away by the 10-point spread we’re seeing – and I still like it.
The Chargers are coming off their biggest win of the season, a 19-point clubbing of the Bengals on their home field in Cincinnati. While the Giants’ defense is playing well, I don’t see them scoring enough points to hang with one of the best QBs in the game, Justin Herbert.
Pick – Chargers (-10)
Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
At this point, it’s just a wise move to take Brady at home. After the last-second win in the season opener against the Cowboys, the Buccaneers have winning margins of 23, 28, 35 and 20 in the following four games at Raymond James Stadium. Now, I should add that the Bills are much more talented than any of those teams the Bucs bet, but let’s not forget that they played a very grueling physical game on Monday in Buffalo. These guys will need a few days to have their bodies thaw out!
The line here opened as Buccaneers -4, and that is certainly worth mentioning at such a key number like that. We are seeing lots of money come in on Tampa, and that’s because the -3 is a much more attractive number.
Pick – Buccaneers (-3)
