This week’s Monday Night Football matchup features the New England Patriots at the Buffalo Bills. There’s a lot riding on this as it will determine who will take command of the AFC East division at a crucial time in the season. Here, I will provide the top Monday Night Football picks, odds, and lines for the Patriots at Bills game tonight.
Monday Night Football Picks – Seahawks at Football Team
Patriots (ML +130)
When I was analyzing my NFL football picks for tonight, I wanted to take the Patriots getting three points. But, I figured taking the moneyline was a truly great idea to start the week. When this line first came out, it was odd to see New England so closely projected to Buffalo. After all, the Bills have Super Bowl aspirations despite slipping and stumbling here a bit over the last few games.
Tonight, however, I don’t believe the Patriots will be giving an inch to the Bills. The weather in the forecast is supposed to be a traditional Buffalo night with high winds and a snow/rain mix that is expected to last throughout the night. If that is the case, New England is much better suited to run the football and roll to victory.
Under 41 Points (-110)
As I just mentioned, the weather in Buffalo is expected to be an absolute nightmare. We saw this total open at 45.5 points and now freefall all the way down to 41. And it makes plenty of sense, considering we’ll see both teams either running the football or completing a high rate of short passes. When either of those outcomes happens, the clock will continue to run and fewer points will be scored.
Damien Harris – Over 48.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
This number seems absolutely silly, considering Harris will likely get 20+ touches tonight – and that’s even with Rhamondre Stevenson in the mix. The new competition for Harris may actually be a good thing for motivation, as Harris is your typical “put-the-head-down” type of Patriots player that gets things done without showing much flare.
Harris has failed to reach this mark of 48.5 rushing yards in two of his last three games. However, those games were all lopsided, and tonight’s affair should be anything but that.
