Monday night’s NHL schedule is an exciting one to kick off the week. But, for my NHL picks today, we will focus on betting opportunities in Columbus Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabres, Vegas Golden Knights at St. Louis Blues & Carolina Hurricanes at San Jose Sharks.
In this article, I will provide my top three NHL picks to make a maximum profit.
Our Favorite NHL Picks Today (11/22/21)
Columbus Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabres
There is a huge difference of bets made to money wagered tonight, and it’s looking like we’ll see an upset in Buffalo.
The bets made are right around 50/50, with the Blue Jackets getting slightly more (54%), but the Sabres are getting almost all of the money (96%). It’s amazing to see something like this, and perhaps there’s more to the story.
After all, Buffalo is 5-3-1 at home this season and Columbus will be playing backup goalie Joonas Korpisalo, who has an inflated 3.56 GAA.
Pick: Sabres ML (+110)
Vegas Golden Knights at St. Louis Blues
The Blues already took the first meeting over the Golden Knights, winning 3-1 in Vegas back on Oct. 20. I like the same outcome tonight for St. Louis at home, where it did win their last game by the score of 4-1 over San Jose.
This is certainly an interesting outlook on the game, with Vegas winning four of its last five games and St. Louis losing four of its last five.
However, we’re seeing most of the bets (66%) going for the Golden Knights while the Blues get the majority of money (77%). That is a huge difference just like we saw in the game above that will likely go our way.
Pick: Blues ML (-150)
Carolina Hurricanes at San Jose Sharks
I don’t have much statistical evidence to back up this claim, but I believe that we’ll see a high-scoring matchup in San Jose tonight. Well, at least enough goals to get us over the 5.5 total. The Sharks haven’t done a great job on defense lately, allowing at least four goals in four of their last five games.
Meanwhile, the 14-2 (8-1 away) Hurricanes come in as winners of four straight games, and that includes a spotless 3-0 mark on the current West Coast road trip. San Jose should be highly motivated to keep pace with this hot Carolina team, so look for the lamp to be lit more than a few times.
Pick: Over 5.5 Goals (-120)
