Now that the soccer internationals have come to a close, we now turn our attention back to the Premier League. On Saturday we have a sumptuous matchup as 4th place Liverpool take on 5th place Arsenal. In this article, we take a look at my EPL best bets for the game.
EPL Best Bets – Liverpool vs Arsenal
Mo Salah To Score Anytime – (-130) PointsBet
Mohamed Salah has been awesome this season and is one of my favorite Premier League picks in the goal-scoring markets. So far, he tops the goalscorer charts with ten goals in eleven games as well as the assist charts with seven.
Another thing going in our favor here is Salah’s love for scoring against Arsenal. In fact, in his last eleven games against the Gunners, Salah has scored seven times.
Having said that, Salah is on something of a goal drought having not scored in Liverpool’s last two games. But, I expect that to end this Saturday.
For starters, he’s a big-game player who scores in the big games. But, also, because Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are doubtful to return from their injuries in time for the match. So, Liverpool will focus their play on getting the ball to Salah in scoring positions.
Diogo Jota To Score Anytime – (+125) PointsBet
Diogo Jota has sneaked under the radar this season. As Mohamed Salah receives all the plaudits – and rightly so – Jota has been chipping in with some crucial goals here and there.
So far, Jota has scored four goals in ten games which is impressive considering he has been in and out of the starting lineup. However, as we mentioned already, Mane and Firmino are struggling to be fit for the game. So, that will open up a place for Jota to start the game as Klopp’s main striker.
As a result, +125 from PointsBet is great value for a striker.
Mohamed Salah To Score, Liverpool To Win, Both Teams To Score (+260) Caesars Sportsbook
This is a great single-game parlay that Caesars Sportsbook is offering here and one that you should snatch with both hands.
We’ve already discussed Salah’s potency this season and against Arsenal, in particular. In fact, he accounts for 32% of Liverpool’s goals this season. However, if you want more bang for your buck then combine it with Liverpool to win and both teams to score.
Over the past few seasons, Liverpool has definitely had the upper hand in this fixture. In fact, in their past five meeting in the EPL, Liverpool has won four of them.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, who are on a three-game winning streak have struggled to replicate their home form in away fixtures. For instance, at home, Arsenal’s win rate is around 60%, whereas it’s around 40% in away fixtures.
Furthermore, the two teams seem incapable of keeping clean sheets in this fixture. In fact, in their last 10 Premier League fixtures, there have only been three clean sheets.
Lastly, Liverpool is scoring an average of 2.8 goals a game while conceding a goal per game, and Arsenal is scoring and conceding an average of 1.18 goals per game. The stage is set for both teams to score.
