Last night was another rough night for the prop bets. After a hot start to the season, things have cooled down a bit. Not to worry, I’m going to focus on one single game tonight: Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz. I already took Jazz -8 and believe there is a particular angle to play in this matchup.

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz
Young and the Hawks come into Utah on a brutal stretch of games. Tonight will mark the fifth game they play in the last seven days, with the previous four opponents all of the NBA’s upper echelon.
This probably won’t be a close game, so if it gets out of hand, we should probably expect to see get a good dose of rest down the stretch. In addition, the Jazz has the NBA’s seventh-best defensive efficiency rating.
Expert NBA Player Prop Bet: Trae Young – Under 25.5 Points (-115)
Gobert hasn’t been putting up the points like usual, but he did have 21 in his last game against the Magic. Tonight’s matchup against the Hawks usually isn’t an easy one going up against Clint Capela.
However, with the Hawks on a back-to-back set and that aforementioned brutal stretch, the banging down low shouldn’t be as strenuous. Look for Gobert to get a couple of those nice-and-easy put-back rebounds for points.

As I mentioned, I am not expecting this to be a close game at all. That means that Clarkson gets a little more time on the court towards the end of the game in garbage time. Clarkson is averaging 14.4 points per game this season, which is right around the mark he needs to hit.
In recent games, he has really struggled from the 3-point range. With a tired Hawks team coming to town, look for him to get more open looks, and be more successful in the process. Before Clarkson started slumping, he had six straight games with 15+ points to start the season.
