NFL Week 7 gets a lid on it when the New Orleans Saints face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. The Saints are coming off their bye week at 3-2 while the 2-4 Seahawks are looking for their first win at home this season. In this article, I will identify the three most profitable MNF bets from the New Orleans-Seattle matchup. Let’s have a look at the best areas to attack:
Monday Night Football Picks For Week 7
Saints -4 (-110)
The Seahawks were dealt a tough blow with QB Russell Wilson (finger) going on injured reserve. Geno Smith will be a decent fill-in most weeks, but we saw familiar struggles last week against a tough defense like the Steelers. The Saints’ defense possesses a similar skill set, and the 41.5-point game total gives us a hint of where this one is heading.
New Orleans QB Jameis Winston is certainly capable of making a few mistakes of his own. However, head coach Sean Payton let Winston turn it loose on some deep balls against Washington in its last game before the bye week. With extra practice to work on the deep ball, don’t be surprised if we see him hit on a couple in this matchup.
Alvin Kamara: Over 92.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
This is a big number to hit, but Kamara is good for it. In fact, five different running backs have rushed for 80+ yards against the Seahawks this season- two of them for 100+. Aside from Derrick Henry, Kamara is much better than any of the other names on that list. Look for him to get going early and often against a Seattle defense allowing the third-most rushing yards per game (140.8) this season. This is a game that New Orleans should take control of, so Kamara will be getting tons of work in the backfield tonight.
Tyler Lockett: Over 46.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
After a fast start to the season, Lockett has failed to crack 46.5 receiving yards in three of his last four games. However, there is a reason for hope, as evidenced by his 17 combined targets over the last two games. Not to mention, Lockett has that phenomenal long-play ability that can exceed this mark in one play. Fellow WR DK Metcalf should draw shadow coverage all night long, making Lockett the more appealing play in this spot.
