After a wild Week 1 of the NFL season, it’s time to turn the page and really get things rolling. In the Thursday Night Football matchup, we’ll see the New York Giants heading down I-95 to face the Washington Football Team. The Giants have won each of the last five meetings between the two teams, but things could be a bit different for them on the road in a short-week divisional matchup.
I will tell you my best three choices for Thursday Night Football. And I will tell you which NFL betting sites are offering the best odds.
Let’s take a look and see what is in store for this heavy-hitting NFC East matchup.
Best Bets For Thursday Night Football – Week 2
Same Game Parlay: Antonio Gibson Anytime TD + Washington ML (+169 at

)
The Giants allowed the fourth-most rushing yards (165) in Week 1. Gibson will gladly take this matchup, as the Football Team doesn’t have to travel on the short week while their opponents do.
In the first game of the season, Gibson had 90 yards on 20 carries and also made 3 catches for 18 yards. If he can do as well as that against a team like LA, then we should feel good about his chances in this game too.
Of course, we need Gibson to not only have a great night for the win, but he needs to put the ball in the end zone as well. As we all know, Giants QB Daniel Jones has never seen a football that he didn’t like to fumble.
If we get the added benefit of great field position, this puts Gibson in an even better position to hit the parlay.
Washington Football Team – First Half Spread -3 (+105 at

)
I’ll keep this one short and sweet. With the Giants traveling are traveling on a short week, we shouldn’t expect them to come out on fire this week. After last week’s dreadful performance at home against the Broncos last week, there are a lot of things that need to be corrected – and it probably won’t happen in a short period of time. The juice is slightly more than we’d like to wager here, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
Kenny Golladay – Over 50.5 Receiving Yards
(Caesars Sportsbook)
Last season, only three teams let fewer than 200 people pass. But last week, the Washington team let 337 of them to the Chargers last week.
As mentioned in a few of the other prop bets, I expect the Football Team to be in control of this game.
If that’s the case, the Giants will be throwing the football a lot in the fourth quarter.
I’ll go against the grain here with Golladay, who was the third-leading WR for New York in Week 1. Of course, that is a little misleading because Sterling Shepard had a 37-yard TD which attributed to his 113 receiving yards.
In addition, Darius Slayton had 65 receiving yards- just one more than Golladay’s 64 in the opener. Golladay was brought to the Giants to be their No.1 WR, so look for him to cash in on garbage time at the end.
