The 2021 Ryder Cup is finally here, and that means it’s time to tee it up for the most exciting golf event of the season. In this setting, Team USA will be taking on Team Europe, featuring a collection of the best golfers from around the globe. The event takes place every other year, with the locations alternating between the two teams. This year, the Ryder Cup will take place at Whistling Straights in Sheboygan, Wisconsin (USA).
In this article, I will identify some of the best bets with a particular focus on Ryder Cup Betting Predictions.
Ryder Cup Betting Predictions – Top Points Scorers
Top Ryder Cup Point Scorer Overall: Jon Rahm
(+650)
At this point, who else would it be? Rahm finished the PGA season by landing in the Top-10 in seven of his last eight events. Of course, the one misnomer was the Memorial Tournament, where he had to pull out early with a six-stroke lead because of a positive COVID-19 test.
That is now long behind him, and nothing would make Rahm happier than single-handedly defeating Team USA. If one guy could do that this weekend, it is certainly Rahm.
Top Rookie Ryder Cup Pick – Top USA Point Scorer: Daniel Berger
(+600)
Berger is one of my favorite golfers on tour, but this pick is certainly not about the favoritism. There aren’t a lot of players that I would have even considered for this bet on the top rookie. Berger had a decent finish to the end of his season, with four T-11 finishes or better in his last seven events.
Ryder Cup Wildcard Betting Pick – Top Euroean Wildcard: Shane Lowry
(+175)
Lowry doesn’t have the look of an amazing athlete, like that of Dustin Johnson or Brooks Koepka. However, he is about as consistent as they come on tour.
In his last 10 outings, Lowry finished in the Top-25 in nine of them. There’s no telling what can happen in these foursome matchups and from there, it’s anybody’s guess who can take it down. Lowry should at least be in contention for most of the weekend, and that’s really all we’re asking for.
