Wednesday’s schedule of NBA action promises to be a good one, with four games on tap. The first three matchups of the day will all have an effect on the Eastern Conference Playoff standings as the 4-6 seeds, all very close in the standings, will be on the court. With the playoffs right around the corner, those teams only have two more chances to situate themselves in the standings.

There’s a lot more at stake for Indy, and that’s not necessarily indicative of the spread in this game. TJ Warren, one of the best players in the bubble, is coming off a game in which he stifled by the Miami defense. Today’s matchup should be a lot easier for him to find his shot, and for the rest of his team in general. There is a ton of money coming in on the Pacers to win outright, but I’m not sure I can get there just yet – even with the Rockets playing their second game in as many days. Let’s play it safe and take the seven points we’ve been gifted.

The 76ers will also be on the second half of a back-to-back set, and that means they’ll probably be resting some players. Before the NBA’s reboot, the Raptors won two of the three meetings during the regular season and I believe they’ll do so, convincingly, once again. Toronto has won five of its last six games since entering the bubble and already know the first-round matchup of the playoffs will be against Brooklyn. Look for the Raptors to sharpen their skills against a very undermanned unit.
Miami Heat at Oklahoma City Thunder

Nearly every penny is going toward Miami, and it comes with plenty of good reasoning. It looks like OKC is ready for the playoffs to begin, as evidenced by head coach Billy Donovan sitting some key players on Monday. The Heat are still looking to fit themselves into a favorable seed for the playoffs, preferably looking for a matchup against the Pacers, whom they can probably dominate once again.

Once again, we’re seeing a team gets a lot of the money – and once again, we’ll follow it. Getting points in these situation is always great, where a team like the Clippers really doesn’t need anything from this game. Kawhi Leonard was even quoted as saying, “There’s really no homecourt advantage, no fans out there, no travel.” The Nuggets are actually the team right behind the Clippers, making that quote all the more intriguing. Nevertheless, LA is still trying to piece some things together while Denver is more of a complete team at the moment.
