Wednesday’s four-game NBA Playoffs slate has plenty of drama attached to it, with three teams facing elimination. If you’re looking to catch the games on TV tonight, you’re in luck. Both TNT and NBA TV have doubleheaders – TNT gets the Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks (7:30 p.m. EST) & Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Clippers (10 p.m. EST) while NBA TV gets the Washington Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers & Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz.
Last night, I went 2-1 to bring my playoffs record to 10-11 ATS. Here are four more free NBA picks to keep things rolling along smoothly.
Table of contents
- Washington Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers (-6.5) – Total: 229.5
- Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks (-1.5) – Total: 208
- Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz (-9.5) – Total: 225.5
- Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Clippers (-7) – Total: 217
Washington Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers (-6.5) – Total: 229.5
Without Joel Embiid, the 76ers will look to close out a pesky Wizards and advance to the second round. It can be done, as Philly owned the Eastern Conference’s best record during the regular season; of course, Embiid was a big part of it.
As of 11 a.m. EST, Washington is getting almost 75% of the money wagered in this matchup. And it makes sense, considering the Wizards were arguably the most competitive team in the NBA down the stretch. Before the last week of the regular season, they went over a month without having a loss over five points.
I love where the money is going, and I’ve already been rocking with the Wizards for a long stretch of success. Why stop now?
Betting Pick: Wizards (+6.5)
Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks (-1.5) – Total: 208
It would behoove the Hawks to take care of business tonight and not worry about the rest of this series. However, the Madison Square Garden crowd will certainly be electric in what could be their final game of the season at the venue.
In reality, the series has been closer than the final score has indicated the last two games. It is quite telling, though, as the Knicks are favored again for the first time since Game 2. Of course, New York is getting nearly all money wagered (83%) as of 11 a.m. EST, and that’s no surprise – that has been the case all series.
At the end of the day, the MSG crowd probably wills the Knicks to one more victory in this series.
Betting Pick: Knicks (-1.5)
Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz (-9.5) – Total: 225.5
Once again, I believe that we’ll see a team avoid elimination. It’s already good news that almost 75% of the public money (as of 11 a.m. EST) is on the Jazz, while the Grizzlies are getting a little more than half of the money wagered. Memphis was a pesky team in 2021, and you have to believe it’ll fight for its season with everything on the line.
Utah is rocking and rolling after that Game 1 upset loss. I was on The Wagner Wire last Sunday (like I am every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. or and 12:30 p.m. EST), saying the Grizzlies would have their best performance in the series opener. That could change, though, considering where we’re seeing the money go.
Betting Pick: Grizzlies (+9.5)
Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Clippers (-7) – Total: 217
To close out the night, we’ll finally get a first-round matchup that is tied at 2-2. I like the Clippers here to continue rolling, after they became the second team in this series to win two games on the road.
Just from watching this series, it feels like the Clippers finally have a plan on defense for Luka Doncic. In addition, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are finding their footing while the playoff version of Rajon Rondo is always on point. This has certainly been an awkward series, but the Clippers can finally take control of it with a win.
Betting Pick: Clippers (-7)
