If that is the case, Washington already has the NBA’s worst defensive efficiency rating and will probably suffer even more with the no-rest factor.
Los Angeles Lakers (-5.5/ML: -245) at Brooklyn Nets – Under 230 (-112)
The Lakers mailed it in against the Knicks last night and almost won by double-digits. They’ll get another chance to do so against a Nets team that has a dreadful 2-11 SU/ATS record over the last 13.
For all the old bodies that LA has, they’re actually pretty
good on B2B sets. In fact, they have a strong 5-0 SU/4-1 ATS record in that
situation this season. Not to mention, they’re only making a quick cross-town
trip from Manhattan to Brooklyn. But who knows… Could the NYC lifestyle
affect these old lads? The Nets are a strong home-underdog at 6-3 ATS this season.
There are a ton of questions in this game, so it feels like going under the total is the right way to move here. We’ve got two teams that have serious question marks heading into the game. But it could also end up being a very competitive game. Seeing the total this high makes us wonder if there’s too much candy for the public to grab at.
Dallas Mavericks at Portland Trail Blazers (+1/ML: -105) – Total: 229.5
We just saw this matchup on Friday, and it was the Mavericks winning by the score of 120-112. However, there’s some interesting data that leads us to believe we’ll see something different tonight. When the spread is between -2.5 and +2.5 this season, the Mavs have a dreadful 3-8 SU/ATS record. The Trail Blazers are straight-up terrible as underdogs of +3 or more (1-14 SU/3-12 ATS). However, they don’t succumb to that level at +2 or better. Look for Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum to take over in this one, and get the win outright.
