Parlay bets are a great way to switch up your sports betting and
combine a few betting picks together to bump up your payout. In this article,
we’ll provide you with our top NBA parlay bets for Monday, Jan. 6. We study the
odds, the betting lines, and the teams, and to give you our recommended parlay
bets.
The following three NBA parlay picks offer a low, medium, or
high payout. Our low payout parlays try to minimize risk and odds start near
+200 or higher in an effort to double our stake. Likewise, our medium and high
payout parlays offer higher payouts with higher odds, but higher odds mean a
smaller chance of winning.
In other words, are you after the big payout or more consistent
wins?
Low-Risk Parlay Wager – 1/6/20

This NBA parlay bet focuses on winning your stake back and then
some. This parlay is for the bettor who prefers low risk/low yield parlay bets.
Remember the saying “slow and steady wins the race?” Well, this parlay bet
won’t set the world alight, but it’s your best chance of beating the NJ
sportsbooks.
Utah Jazz ML (-141) at New Orleans Pelicans
8:00 p.m. EST
This should be one of the more entertaining games of the
evening with the Jazz on a five-game winning streak (won 10 of 11) and the
Pelicans winning five of the last six (5-0-1 ATS in that stretch). While New
Orleans is used to these higher-scoring games, this 223-total ties Utah for
fourth-highest total this season. However, this team has thrived in that setting.
When the total is 220 or higher this season, the Jazz are 8-2 ATS. Look for Utah
to keep things rolling on the road. New Orleans is 1-3 ATS as a +2 or +2.5-point
underdog this season.
Milwaukee Bucks ML (-315) at San Antonio Spurs
8:30 p.m. EST
These teams just played on Saturday night and went crazy for a total of 245 points. This is actually one of the lower spreads the Bucks have this season at -7. And Milwaukee has done a good job in this spot, going 11-3 ATS when favored by -4.5 to -9. Giannis Antetokounmpo & Co. have been making quick work of the NBA and we believe they’ll do so once again. Considering this is a home-and-home series between the teams, it wouldn’t surprise us to see the Spurs keep this close. Although, taking the moneyline is a safer way to go in this spot.
Chicago Bulls at Dallas Mavericks ML (-380)
8:30 p.m. EST
When underdogs of +6 or more this season, the Bulls haven’t won a game outright in eight tries. In fact, this will be the Bulls’ first game as underdogs of +8.5 against a team that isn’t the Bucks. In those three meetings, Chicago was an underdog of +8.5, +9 and +11.5.
As for the Mavs, they were caught sleeping on Saturday at home against the Hornets; that’s now three losses over the last four games. Look for Luka Doncic and the Mavs to take out their frustrations on a Chicago team that is ripe for the picking.
Medium-Risk Parlay Bet – 1/6/20
$20 risk: $119.16 payout (+596 odds)
This parlay bet focuses on winning your stake back and then
some. This NBA parlay bet is for the bettor who prefers an evenly balanced
payout/risk ratio. The bettor who wants a decent payout, but is not reckless
with their parlay picks.
Brooklyn Nets at Orlando Magic – Under 211
7:00 p.m. EST
The Nets have a 9-2 ATS record when underdogs of at least
+6.5 this season. And that number drops severely to 0-5 ATS as underdogs of +7
or more. It matters for the total because this 211-number is the lowest in a Nets
game this season. In fact, the seven lowest totals in Brooklyn games have
resulted in five unders. When the Magic are favored by -5 or more, the under has
hit in five of those six games. Additionally, 66 percent of Orlando’s home
games have gone under the total. A big part of that is the Magic playing the
fifth-slowest pace in the NBA.
Boston Celtics at Washington Wizards – Over 225.5
7:00 p.m. EST
The Wizards might not be winning a lot of games but they’re quite entertaining. In fact, Wizards’ games have the second-highest percentage (61.8%) of contests going over the total and the highest margin of points (+7.1) in surpassing the total-number. When these two teams squared off back on Nov. 13 in Boston, the Celtics came away with the 140-133 victory; those 140 points were a season-high for the team. While Celtics’ matchups have only gone over the total in three of 12 games with at least a 216-point total, one of those overs was against this same Wizards team. Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward are all too much for Washington’s defense.
This 8.5-point spread will be the highest for Boston on the road this season, giving us plenty of optimism that they’ll score points. Plus, Isaiah Thomas always gets up for these games against his former team. Bradley Beal could come back and provide some more scoring as well.
Golden State Warriors at Sacramento Kings – Over 215
10:00 p.m. EST
The Kings have struggled as heavy favorites this season, losing all five of their games outright when favored by -5 or more. On the flip side, the Warriors are 7-4 ATS as double-digit underdogs and the total has gone over in 10 of those 11 games. When favored by -2 or more, Kings’ games have gone over the total eight times in 11 games. Point in case, we’re probably looking at a high-scoring game one way or the other. Four of the last five Kings’ games have gone over the total while Warriors’ games have suffered the same fate in three of their last four. Lastly, Draymond Green is listed as questionable for the Warriors and that could bring the overall level of defense down a great deal if he’s out.
Big-Payout Parlay Bet – 1/6/20
$20 risk: $204.51 payout (+1023 odds)
This NBA parlay bet focuses on maximizing your winnings. This
NBA parlay bet is for the bettor who is looking for the big payout from the NJ
sportsbooks. The higher odds mean beats but we’re shooting for the stars here!
No one ever bragged they won $10 and as such, so this is for the bettor looking
for the big parlay win.
Oklahoma City Thunder (+7) at Philadelphia 76ers
7:00 p.m. EST
OKC has solid ATS numbers in all games (23-12), non-division (19-9), on the road (12-5), as an underdog (15-6) and as a road-underdog (11-4). The Thunder are on a five-game winning streak and winners in nine of the last 10 (7-3 ATS over that stretch). In addition, OKC has covered all six games this season as an underdog of +7 or more.
On the flip side, Philly is on a four-game losing streak and losers in seven of the last 10 (4-6 ATS over that stretch). The 76ers are coming off a road trip and teams have always said the first game back home almost feels like another road game because of the travel. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid just can’t seem to get this team on the right page. Not to mention, Philly hasn’t played since Friday and has a 1-5-1 ATS record when playing on 2-3 days of rest this season. We mentioned that in Friday’s write-up when they lost in Houston.
Indiana Pacers at Charlotte Hornets ML (+170)
7:00 p.m. EST
The Pacers haven’t been a great heavy-favorite this season,
going 5-6-3 ATS when favored by -5 or more. Recently, Indy has lost four of its
last five, with the latest defeat coming on Saturday against the lowly Hawks who
were playing on the back-end of a back-to-back set. The Hornets are coming off
back-to-back road victories, both by three points. And the latter of which was
an upset win in Dallas on Saturday. This is a team that does have the height to
match up with Indy’s bigs and should keep it competitive until the very end. We
believe they can pull out the upset victory!
Denver Nuggets at Atlanta Hawks – Over 223.5
7:30 p.m. EST
The Nuggets may play at the third-slowest pace in the NBA, but 10 of their last 12 games have gone over the total. In fact, they are averaging 113.8 PPG over that stretch. Things should certainly ramp up as they travel to face the Hawks, who are tied for the fourth-fastest pace. Despite what the box scores say of late, Atlanta’s defense is not one that we should have much faith in.
The Nuggets have marquee players like Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic that can rack up points all night, and those matchups will be the key to hitting this number. This matchup of Murray against Trae Young is certainly one that we’ll be dialed into.
