Brooklyn, winners in four of
the last six games, is set to welcome back former player D’Angelo Russell.
However, it’ll be interesting to see if Golden State lets him play tonight
since he’s been one of the major names involved in trade talks. Two scenarios
could happen here: 1) Russell doesn’t play and the Warriors get routed, or 2)
Russell tries to do everything himself against his former team and winds up being
the victim of numerous double-teams. We’ll take the Nets to win outright.
8:00 p.m. EST – Cleveland Cavaliers
at Oklahoma City Thunder (ML: -700)
OKC typically hasn’t done well
as a heavy favorite (-7.5 or more) this season, going 3-2 SU/1-4 ATS. However,
we believe they’ll be just fine at home against a Cavs team that has lost 11 of
the last 12 games – the Cavs are 4-8 ATS in that span. Cleveland just lost at
home to a terrible Knicks team on Monday, so there’s no telling how bad this
one can get. This is a very sharp line at 11.5, so taking OKC on the moneyline
should be an easy task.
9:00 p.m. EST – Denver Nuggets
at Utah Jazz -8 (-110)
The Nuggets had an easy win at
home last night, but tonight’s task won’t be that easy. Tonight, they’ll be playing
on the back-end of a B2B, in addition to this being their third game in four days
and fifth in seven.
The Jazz has been sputtering out of control with four consecutive losses. However, this is a perfect get-right spot against a Nuggets that just beat them last week; these revenge matchups in a short span tend to favor the loser of the first game. Not to mention, the Jazz has a solid 8-2 SU/5-4-1 ATS record on extended rest (2-4 days) – they haven’t played since Saturday, so all that aggression had time to build up.
Medium-Risk NBA Parlay Bet
Parlay Odds: +399
$20 risk: $79.89 payout
This parlay bet focuses on winning your stake back and then
some. This NBA parlay bet is for the bettor who prefers an evenly balanced
payout/risk ratio. The bettor who wants a decent payout, but is not reckless
with their parlay picks.
7:00 p.m. EST – Phoenix Suns
-2 (-110) at Detroit Pistons
This will be the Suns’ ninth road
game over the last 12, and getting home would certainly feel great. After all,
they’ve lost six of the last eight games and have a 6-9 SU/4-11 ATS over the
last 15. Meanwhile, the Pistons haven’t been much better, going 6-14 SU/ATS
over the last 20 games. Not to mention, Derrick Rose and Svi Mykhailiuk won’t
suit up while Marcus Morris is listed as questionable.
It’s basically a pick of the
less-worse team here; in that regard, the Suns are the winner. The Pistons haven’t
been a great home team (10-16 SU/ATS) while the Suns are actually 14-10 ATS on
the road.
7:30 p.m. EST – Indiana Pacers
at Toronto Raptors -6 (-110)
The Raptors had two days off
coming into this game and they’re not that great in this situation, going 6-6
SU/4-8 ATS on extended rest. However, we can probably make an exception since they’re
on an 11-game winning streak – 8-3 ATS in that span. In addition, Toronto has
been solid at home with a 17-5 SU/15-7 ATS record.
It’s tough to exactly where this Pacers team is at right now. On one hand, they have Victor Oladipo back in the lineup. On the other hand, Indy looks like it’s trying to find that new identity with him there. The safer route is to take the Raptors on the moneyline, but we have enough confidence they’ll cover here.
10:00 p.m. EST – Miami Heat
at Los Angeles Clippers (ML: -270)
This should end up being the best game on the entire slate, with both teams shoe-ins for the playoffs. However, we like the Clippers to be on the winning side of things. While the Heat is one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, they haven’t played as well on the road (12-12) as at home (22-3). In fact, this will be Miami’s first game of a long five-game road trip before the All-Star break.
LA is a little more healthy in
this game, but the rest advantage at home is what we really like. Look for the
Clippers to get another win against the Heat for the second time in as many
weeks.
Big-Payout NBA Parlay Bet

addition, they’ve lost seven of the last nine.
However, the better play here might be the under. These two teams have been trending in that direction of late; Celtics’ games have gone under in six of the last seven while Magic games have done the same in five of the last six.
8:00 p.m. EST – Atlanta Hawks
at Minnesota Timberwolves – Under 236.5
These two teams were part of
the major four-team deal that went down just after midnight. In fact, both
teams might not even be done dealing before Thursday’s deadline. There is going
to be a lot of chaos in this game, with some guys not necessarily knowing where
they stand and having that hanging over their heads. For now, we’ll take the
under in this game. After all, there could be some lesser players suiting up
and that would certainly hurt this massive 236.5 total.
8:30 p.m. EST – Memphis Grizzlies
(ML: +172) at Dallas Mavericks
The Mavs have played well in the absence of Luka Doncic, mainly because of the boost on offense that Kristaps Porzingis has provided. KP has scored at least 35 points in each of the two games he’s played without Doncic since the injury. Dallas isn’t only hurting without Doncic, though, as Seth Curry and J.J. Barea are both listed as questionable.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have
been playing excellent ball this season. More recently, they have won five of
the last six games and 12 of the last 15. Perhaps, without some of the best
ball-handlers on Dallas out, Memphis can take advantage of this.
