Welcome back to another preview of the best NBA player prop bets on Friday, January 14, 2022. In this article, I will identify my best NBA player props tonight to make a maximum profit and get us some more money to get going this week.
Tonight, we will look at Jayson Tatum, Stephen Curry, and Luka Doncic, who are showing the best value in the NBA player prop bets markets.
Best NBA Player Props Today (1/14/22)
Boston Celtics at Philadelphia 76ers
NBA Player Prop: Jayson Tatum – Under 24.5 Points (-105)
The Celtics are 3.5-point underdogs in this matchup tonight against the 76ers. Because of that, I believe we’ll see Philly control the tempo of play. Boston is only 8-13 on the road this season, so we’re certainly not seeing this team at its best in that setting.
It’s also worth noting that the 76ers have one of the better team defenses in the NBA. While they’re not ranking as high in defensive efficiency as we’d like (middle of the road), this bunch can turn it up at any time. Look for Tatum to struggle tonight, as he has only exceeded 24.5 points in two of 15 career meetings with the 76ers.
Golden State Warriors at Chicago Bulls
NBA Player Prop: Stephen Curry – Over 29.5 Points (-115)
Curry and the Warriors got boatraced out in Milwaukee last night, and it actually got some extra rest for players at the end of the game. Because of that awful output of effort, I would expect Golden State to come out strong tonight – and Curry would certainly lead the way offensively.
Looking at the betting landscape, Chicago is getting nearly all of the attention in bets/money early in the day on Friday. Golden State has already lost two games in a row, and four of the last five, so you have to expect this streak to stop any day now.
Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies
NBA Player Prop: Luka Doncic – Over 42.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)
I thought it was surprising to see the Mavericks as only two-point underdogs, considering the Grizzlies are on an 11-game winning streak. Dallas hasn’t been that bad either, just having a six-game winning streak of their own snapped in that last game.
Given what we know about the Mavs being a slight underdog, I would imagine this means they win tonight. If that’s the case, Doncic will likely need to have one of those trademark triple-double games. Dallas will be without Kristaps Porzingis tonight, so that means Doncic will need to be more active in scoring and grabbing rebounds.
