Welcome back to another night of NBA prop bets today on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. In this article, I will identify my best NBA player props tonight to make a maximum profit and get us some more money to get going this week. In this article, we will look at the following players: Trae Young, Jarrett Allen & Jalen Brunson.
Best NBA Player Props Today (12/14/21)
Houston Rockets at Cleveland Cavaliers
Jarrett Allen has -350 odds on Caesars to record a double-double tonight. That’s getting us off to a good start on the prop bet I’ll be selecting- over 12.5 rebounds. Allen has actually exceeded this mark of 12.5 boards only once in the month of December, but there’s good reasoning to believe that’ll change.
The Rockets are coming to town with one of the fastest paces in the NBA. In this matchup, the Cavaliers are heavy nine-point favorites, so there’s plenty of optimism in their defense to make this a difficult night for their opponents. With extra possessions come extra rebounding opportunities, especially for a team as good as Cleveland – and a team as bad as Houston.
Pick: Jarrett Allen – Over 12.5 Rebounds (-110)
Atlanta Hawks at Orlando Magic
It’s not so much that I think Trae Young will fail tonight – I just don’t think the Hawks will need him to score that much against the lowly Magic. Not to mention, this isn’t an Orlando team that likes to run at a frenetic pace, and that could keep the scoring urgency down for Young.
In fact, Young is due for a down performance. After all, the Hawks have lost four of their last five games, and Young has been doing a lot more trying to bring his team back from a deficit. I doubt that will be the case and he can have his easiest day in the month of December.
Pick: Trae Young – Under 27.5 Points (-112)
Los Angeles Lakers at Dallas Mavericks
Jalen Brunson going over 6.5 assists is a higher total than he’s used to, especially with Luka Doncic out of the lineup for the Mavericks. There are so many missing players on both teams, so this is a good chance for Brunson to pick up the slack and make good on the opportunity. After all, he has taken a backseat offensively this season and has been looking for a chance to make a bigger impact.
Since the Mavs have blown out their last two opponents, we haven’t gotten the true scope of how well Brunson will perform in the lineup without Doncic. I do, however, love this matchup for Brunson as the Lakers aren’t usually that aggressive defending the 3-point line, and that’s where he and others can make a difference.
Pick: Jalen Brunson – Over 6.5 Assists (+100) & Over 1.5 Made 3-Pointers (+145)
