Welcome back to another night of NBA prop bets today on Thursday, December 16, 2021. In this article, I will identify my best NBA player props tonight to make a maximum profit and get us some more money to get going this week. In this article, we will look at the following players: Kevin Durant, Alec Burks & DeAndre Ayton.
Best NBA Player Props Today (12/14/21)
Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets
Player Prop Pick: Kevin Durant – Over 29.5 Points (-110)
In what was expected to be the game of the night, that might take a slight downturn given all of the inactives for tonight’s game. In all honesty, that list looks like a page out of the phone book. That seems to be the case around the NBA these days, but it’s a part of the process that everyone has to deal with if we want basketball.
Nevertheless, Kevin Durant will likely have another big game tonight. On Tuesday, in a similar short-handed situation, Durant posted a 34 point-13 rebound-11 assist triple-double en route to a Nets victory in overtime. The player prop bets aren’t out yet, but I can assume KD’s number to hit will be somewhere around 29.5 points.
New York Knicks at Houston Rockets
Player Prop Pick: Alec Burks – Over 15.5 Points (-108)
The Knicks will be without quite a few players tonight, and that means Alec Burks will likely get in on the action a bit more. One of the biggest absences that will help him RJ Barrett, meaning that Burks will have more of a role handling the ball.
Tonight’s matchup against the Rockets is one of the better ones in the NBA as they rank 24th in defensive efficiency. Burks has scored at least 14 points in three of his last four games. Houston is playing its second game in as many nights and a long stretch that dates back to five games in seven days, so don’t expect the defense to be on-point.
Washington Wizards at Phoenix Suns
Player Prop Pick: DeAndre Ayton – To Score 20+ Points + Win (+130)
Watching the Kings-Wizards game last night, I noticed that the Wizards could be had down low. And tonight would be a perfect night to pick on them, considering this will be their second game in as many nights and a stretch of four games in six nights.
The Suns are huge eight-point favorites tonight and if that holds true, you would expect the team’s center to have a big part in the success. Ayton has been scoring with more frequency lately, adding 23+ in three of the last five games. He only averages just under 17 points per game on the season, so you can tell he’s heating up.
