Welcome back to another preview of the best NBA prop bets on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. In this article, I will identify my best NBA player props tonight to make a maximum profit and get us some more money to get going this week.
In this article, we will look at the following players: Jaylen Brown, LeBron James & Jakob Poeltl.
Best NBA Player Props Today (12/29/21)
Los Angeles Clippers at Boston Celtics
Player Prop Pick: Jaylen Brown – Over 3.5 Assists (-105)
Brown has really picked up his assist production in the month of December, averaging 3.6 on this page of the calendar. In all but one game this month, he has posted at least three assists.
Based on Brown’s game log, we can probably expect this result to land right in the 3-4 range. I do believe tonight’s matchup against the Clippers provides an opportunity to land above that number. LA is playing its third game in four nights, coming East for the first leg of a quick three-game trip. The Clippers’ defense was absolutely shredded by the Nets last game, so I would expect more of that ball movement to continue.
Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies
Player Prop Pick: LeBron James – Under 28.5 Points (-112)
The Lakers played a surprisingly tough game in Houston last night. Maybe “tough” isn’t the right word to use, considering both teams almost reached 100 points before the fourth quarter even started. Rather, it was a smooth run up and down the court for a shootout.
Tonight’s matchup against the Grizzlies will be a much tougher matchup, especially physically. We should probably expect to see a lower-scoring game, and that would keep LeBron to a minimum in putting the ball in the bucket. LeBron has scored 30+ in five straight games, but if we’re going to take a night to stop the trend, it would be best to do it on the back end of a back-to-back set.
Miami Heat at San Antonio Spurs
Player Prop Pick: Jakob Poeltl – Under 9.5 Rebounds (-105)
This seems like an inflated number at 9.5 for someone who only so often reaches a double-digit number of rebounds. In 14 games during the month of December, Poeltl has only grabbed 10+ rebounds in four of those games. What’s even worse is that Poeltl has grabbed five rebounds or fewer in five of his last nine games.
Tonight’s matchup against the Heat is not an easy one, considering they have the fifth-best rebounding rate in the NBA. We’re getting strong odds here for an under, which usually doesn’t happen, so we can consider this a belated Christmas present.
