Monday’s eight-game NBA slate is loaded with plenty of great action to start the week. ESPN has the national-TV doubleheader, as it’ll be the New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets & Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors.
In my last article (Friday), I went 3-1 to bring my season-long record to 48-28-2 (63.1%). I have another four free NBA picks to help strengthen the bankroll once again. Check them out!
Table of contents
- Milwaukee Bucks (-8.5) at Washington Wizards – Total: 240
- San Antonio Spurs (-2.5) at Detroit Pistons – Total: 216.5
- Indiana Pacers at Denver Nuggets (-5) – Total: 224
Milwaukee Bucks (-8.5) at Washington Wizards – Total: 240
MIL: normal rest
WSH: 3 games in 4 days, 4 games in 6 days
While 240 points may seem like an unreachable total, it’s quite the opposite. In fact, each of the last six meetings between the Bucks and Wizards have gone over the total.
There’s plenty of star power on the floor amongst the two teams, so we can feel confident in that. Not to mention, Washington runs the NBA’s fastest pace and that always creates tons of excitement.
Betting Pick: Over 240 points
San Antonio Spurs (-2.5) at Detroit Pistons – Total: 216.5
SA: back-end b2b (@PHI yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 games in 6 days
DET: normal rest
Even though the Spurs got absolutely clobbered yesterday, I still like them in this spot. For starters, the Pistons certainly aren’t the 76ers. Detroit is actually somewhat of a pesky team and plays some competitive games every now and again.
Nevertheless, it’s only 2.5 points that San Antonio needs to cover. This is a team that is 7-2 ATS against Eastern Conference opponents; on the flip side, Detroit is 3-11 ATS against the West. The Spurs are the more talented team here, so take them with confidence.
Betting Pick: Spurs (-2.5)
Los Angeles Clippers (-2) at Dallas Mavericks – Total: 228
LAC: back-end b2b (@NOR yesterday)
DAL: 4 games in 6 days
Speaking of teams that clobbered yesterday, I’ll be going with another one in the Clippers. Zion Williamson and the Pelicans hung a 20-point victory on them on Sunday, so look for Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to come back with some urgency tonight.
LA is actually 6-0 ATS when playing on the back end of back-to-back sets this season. A lot of that has been without its two biggest stars, and it looks like they’ll be playing tonight.
Betting Pick: Clippers (-2)
Indiana Pacers at Denver Nuggets (-5) – Total: 224
IND: 3 games in 4 days
DEN: 3 games in 4 days
We missed the value in the under at 226.5, but I do believe we can still get where we need to go at 224. Typically, when we see totals start crashing down, it’s a good sign that we’ll see a defensive battle- or at least a big disappointment from the offenses.
Both teams are playing their third game in four days, and tonight’s affair takes place in the high altitude of Denver. Look for these sluggish teams to crawl up and down the court, giving us all of the boredom we need to cash.
Betting Pick: Under 224 points
