Wednesday’s massive 12-game NBA slate is sure to be another good one. The national-TV doubleheader will be on NBA TV, featuring the Phoenix Suns at Philadelphia 76ers & Memphis Grizzlies at Los Angeles Clippers. Neither game made the cut in today’s article, but I’ll have plenty of angles to attack.
Last night, I went 2-1 to bring my season-long record to 99-65-2 ATS (60.4%). Here are four more free NBA picks to keep things rolling in the right direction.
Table of contents
- Golden State Warriors (-2) at Washington Wizards – Total: 238.5
- Atlanta Hawks (-1) at New York Knicks – Total: 216.5
- Utah Jazz (-11) at Houston Rockets – Total: 226.5
- Minnesota Timberwolves at Sacramento Kings (-4.5) – Total: 239
Golden State Warriors (-2) at Washington Wizards – Total: 238.5
GS: normal rest
WSH: 4 games in 6 days (all at home)
These two teams just battled it out a little under two weeks ago, with the Wizards winning a tight game. Right now, you’re only going to find a handful of teams playing better basketball than the Warriors and Wizards. Washington is 5-0 SU/4-1 ATS over the last five games while Golden State is 5-1 SU/ATS in its last six. A lot of that is led by the play of the two point guards, Stephen Curry and Russell Westbrook, who are both putting up video-game-like numbers. It’s also worth noting that four of the last five meetings between the teams have gone over the total.
Betting Pick: Over 238.5 points
Atlanta Hawks (-1) at New York Knicks – Total: 216.5
ATL: back-end b2b (vs ORL yesterday), 3 games in 4 days
NYK: back-end b2b (vs CHA yesterday), 3 games in 4 days (all at home), 4 in 6
This is a rarity for me, taking the Knicks twice in as many nights in this space. But it comes with good reason, considering New York is 7-2 SU/7-1-1 ATS in the last nine meetings against Atlanta.
I won’t be surprised at all if this winds up being the most exciting game of the night. The Hawks are 9-2 SU/ATS in their last 11 games while the Knicks are 8-2 SU/10-0 ATS in their last 10. At the end of the day, though, New York did not have to travel for tonight’s game while Atlanta did. When looking at the back-end B2B numbers this season, the Hawks are 4-5-1 ATS while the Knicks are 7-4 ATS.
Betting Pick: Knicks (+1.5)
Utah Jazz (-11) at Houston Rockets – Total: 226.5
UTA: normal rest
HOU: 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6
Going against the Rockets at home comes with a lot of responsibility. In fact, it’s one of the best cover-opportunities, as they are 6-22 ATS at home and 4-15 ATS as a home underdog. The Jazz may not be playing their best basketball of late (1-4 ATS in L5), but this would be an ideal time to pounce on the advantage. The teams only met once this season, with Utah winning by 15.
Betting Pick: Jazz (-11)
Minnesota Timberwolves at Sacramento Kings (-4.5) – Total: 239
MIN: back-end b2b (@SAC yesterday), 3 games in 4 days (all on the road), 4 in 6
SAC: back-end b2b (vs MIN yesterday), 3 games in 4 days
For the final pick, I’ll keep things short and sweet. This is the back-end of a B2B set between the teams, with the Timberwolves winning last night. It is incredibly difficult to beat a team twice on their home floor in consecutive games, let alone consecutive nights. I’ll take the Kings to come out and have some pride (for once) in this one.
Betting Pick: Kings (-4.5)
