Wednesday’s 10-game NBA slate will help us get through the mid-week funk. The national-TV always goes to ESPN on this day, and it’ll be featuring the Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns.
Last night, I went 1-2 to bring my season-long record to 108-72-2 ATS (59%). Here are three more free NBA picks to keep things rolling in the right direction.
Table of contents
- Charlotte Hornets at Boston Celtics (-7) – Total: 215.5
- Chicago Bulls at New York Knicks (-4) – Total: 209
- Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns (-4) – Total: 222
Charlotte Hornets at Boston Celtics (-7) – Total: 215.5
CHA: back-end b2b (vs MIL yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6, 5 in 7
BOS: back-end b2b (vs OKC yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6, 5 in 7
I don’t need too many facts to get me where I need to go in this matchup. Both teams are playing their second game in as many nights, and the two are on a dreadful string of five games over the last seven days. Human beings were not made to play that many games during the course of a week.
Exactly half of Boston’s 62 games have gone under the total this season. However, more recently, five of their last six and eight of their last 10 games, the total has gone under in Celtics’ games.
Betting Pick: Under 215.5 points
Chicago Bulls at New York Knicks (-4) – Total: 209
CHI: normal rest
NYK: normal rest
This will certainly be one of the more interesting games on the slate, but I’m taking the Knicks to get back on the good foot. Monday’s loss to the Suns broke the Knicks’ nine-game winning streak, and it was the first time in 11 games that they didn’t even cover the spread. It’s worth noting that each of the two New York losses before that winning streak were by two points.
The Bulls have turned things around, and they’ve been doing without Zach LaVine. However, tonight’s matchup against the Knicks is one of the toughest in basketball for road teams. Teams rolling into New York haven’t been met with kindness, as the Knicks are 20-11-1 ATS there this season and 11-2 ATS as a home favorite. The Knicks also get Alec Burks back in the lineup tonight.
Betting Pick: Knicks (-4)
Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns (-4) – Total: 222
LAC: normal rest
PHX: 3 games in 4 days
They always say that the first home game after a long road trip is one of the toughest scenarios in basketball. We’re going to take this logic and roll with the Clippers, all while getting a handful of points. Sign me up!
Unfortunately, the Clippers won’t have Kawhi Leonard for this matchup. Not to worry, Paul George is still a formidable threat, and the rest of this roster rounds out as one of the best in the NBA. While LA does have that drawback of missing Kawhi, Phoenix will be missing Jae Crowder and Dario Saric.
Betting Pick: Clippers (+4)
