Friday’s nine-game NBA slate slides us right into another weekend of great basketball action. Tonight’s national-TV doubleheader will be handled by TNT, as we’ll see the Memphis Grizzlies at New York Knicks & Washington Wizards at Golden State Warriors.
Last night, a brutal bad beat in the Los Angeles Lakers at Miami Heat game held us to a 2-2 night. The season-long record stands at 88-54-2 (62%). Here are three more free NBA picks to get your weekend bankroll looking plentiful.
Table of contents
- Indiana Pacers (-4.5) at Orlando Magic – Total: 219
- Memphis Grizzlies (-1.5) at New York Knicks – Total: 214.5
- Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks (-2) – Total: 227.5
Indiana Pacers (-4.5) at Orlando Magic – Total: 219
IND: 3 games in 4 days (all at home)
ORL: normal rest
Although the Pacers haven’t been in the greatest form of late (3-6 ATS in L9), this is a matchup they should be able to finally take advantage of. We saw the Magic possibly enter a period of darkness, facing teams that absolutely need victories in order to make it to the playoffs. While the Pacers will be without Myles Turner, and maybe even Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon, it’ll be Caris LeVert leading the charge for Indy tonight. The Pacers have won each of their last four meetings against the Magic, and that’s when they had a real NBA roster.
Betting Pick: Pacers (-4.5)
Memphis Grizzlies (-1.5) at New York Knicks – Total: 214.5
MEM: 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6 (all on the road)
NYK: normal rest
The NBA’s second-best ATS team (covering 63.3% of games) has been on a roll of late, going 8-3 SU/10-1 ATS in their last 11 games. Tonight’s matchup against the Knicks certainly provides its set of challenges, but I believe the Grizzlies will emerge victoriously.
Memphis has been particularly impressive on the road, going 15-8 ATS, and 5-2 ATS as a road favorite. The Knicks are 13-10 ATS at home, but they’re only 5-8-1 ATS as a home underdog.
Side note: This game right here is my biggest NBA bet of the season so far.
Betting Pick: Grizzlies (-1.5)
Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks (-2) – Total: 227.5
CHI: back-end b2b (@TOR yesterday), 3 games in 4 days (all on road), 4 in 6
ATL: 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6 (all at home)
The Bulls have been playing fantastic basketball of late, but it’s about time they come back down to Earth a bit. For one, they are playing on the back-end of a B2B set; in addition, this will be Chicago’s third road game in four nights.
Although the Hawks got boatraced at home on Wednesday against the Grizzlies, that was an incredibly tough spot they were in on the B2B and a string of five games in seven days. This will be the sixth straight home game for the Hawks tonight, who are 7-1 SU/ATS in their last eight there
Betting Pick: Hawks (-2)
