I know that I’m reaching for the low-hanging fruit here, but I am beyond pissed off at the Pistons for ruining my perfect Monday. After all, they were facing a Magic team last night that was also trying to lose games… and wound up losing themselves.
The Hornets have won 12 straight meetings against the Pistons, dating all the way back to 2018. In addition, nine of those last 10 have gone under the total. Nevertheless, this is all about Charlotte getting busy. In fact, this is a team that is 6-1 ATS as a road favorite this season.

I’m quite fancy on my Nets this evening, and I’ll spare you all the gloating. If you read this article often, then you know that I love teams coming off a loss in these back-to-back matchups that we had to endure too much of in 2021. Just think of it as part of a playoff series- especially with two elite teams. When two talented teams play each other twice in a span of 1-2 days, they’ll usually split.

This lined up too easy, with yet another set of teams playing on the back-end of a back-to-back set. Although, in this instance, the two teams played last night- the Warriors won by 16.
With all of that being said, I won’t be taking the Pelicans like expected. Instead, I like the angle on the total going under 235 points. Both teams played last night, and it’ll be the fourth game in six days for them as well. In fact, it’s the fifth in seven days for the Pelicans. The Warriors are 5-8 ATS on the back-end of B2Bs this season, and they’re also 14-21 ATS on the road and 7-15 ATS as a road underdog. Also, the Pelicans are 6-15 ATS as a home favorite. While those numbers don’t necessarily mean equate to an under, it does show that they play poor basketball in these situations we’ll see tonight. It is worth noting that each of the last four Pelicans-Warriors meetings has gone under the total.
