Thursday’s seven-game NBA slate will take us right to the cusp of the weekend with some great basketball action. TNT will handle the national-TV doubleheader, featuring the Brooklyn Nets at Dallas Mavericks & Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers.
Last night, I went 2-1 to bring my season-long record to 114-80-2 ATS (58.8%). Here are three more free NBA picks to keep things rolling in the right direction.
Table of contents
- Brooklyn Nets (-3) at Dallas Mavericks – Total: 234
- Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors (-3) – Total: 235.5
- Atlanta Hawks (-5.5) at Indiana Pacers – Total: 240
Brooklyn Nets (-3) at Dallas Mavericks – Total: 234
BKN: normal rest
DAL: 4 games in 6 days, front-end b2b (vs CLE tomorrow)
I have to take the homer bait and roll with my boys tonight. I don’t see this team losing four straight games, especially with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the lineup. Brooklyn has been quite strong against the West, going 18-9 ATS this season. While Dallas has played well of late, it is still 12-20 ATS at home this season. If there’s going to be a time to pick on the Mavs, it’s when they’re playing in Big D.
Betting Pick: Nets (-3)
Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors (-3) – Total: 235.5
WSH: back-end b2b (@MIL yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6, 5 in 7
TOR: 4 games in 6 days
I have to ride the hot streak with the Wizards, who are 8-2 SU/ATS over their last 10 games. It could be a challenge, though, considering Washington is playing its second game in as many nights and the fifth in seven. Luckily, Russell Westbrook & Co. have been great when playing on long stretches- the Wizards are 10-6 ATS on no days rest this season. In addition, they are 20-12 ATS on the road and 15-11 ATS as a road underdog. The scheduling scenario isn’t great, but I think Washington pulls it out tonight.
Betting Pick: Wizards (+3)
Atlanta Hawks (-5.5) at Indiana Pacers – Total: 240
ATL: back-end b2b (vs PHX yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6, 5 in 7
IND: back-end b2b (vs SAC yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 in 6
Normally, this would be an offensive explosion. However, both teams are coming into this game with quite a bit of mileage on the tires. The Hawks and Pacers will be playing their second game in as many days, and it’ll also be a stretch of four in six. Atlanta, though, will also be playing its fifth game in seven days with a trip from ATL to Indiana last night attached to it. I can’t see this game reaching that many points and I might even take a crack at the Pacers (+6) here too.
Betting Pick: Under 240 points
