There’s only one game on Friday’s NBA slate, and that’ll be the final Play-In Tournament game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors. Everyone will certainly be dialed in on ESPN to see the point guard matchup between Stephen Curry and Ja Morant.
I won the only game on the board last night (Wizards -3), to bring my playoff record to 2-3 after a 57% regular season. Here is another free NBA betting pick to keep things moving in the right direction. I’ll be back on Monday with more NBA picks.
Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors (-4) – Total: 221
The Warriors have won two of the three meetings against the Grizzlies this season. All three matchups were played at least two months ago, so we’ve got a pretty fresh take on how this all looks. Golden State’s wins both came by double-digits while the Memphis victory came by eight points.
One of the more intriguing results from this matchup is that the last six meetings have resulted in the total going under. I could see that happening again tonight, considering the Grizzlies had to make the long and exaggerated trip out West to San Francisco. The good news for Memphis is that it could stay out West with a win, inevitably matching up with the No. 1 seeded Jazz. However, it may not even get there.
I was really impressed by Golden State in that matchup against the LA Lakers. Stephen Curry, quite deservingly, was named as one of the NBA’s three finalists for the MVP award, so he’d love to make good on that honor. A ton of public (88%) and money wagered (92%) is pouring in on the Warriors tonight, and that’s usually not a good sign. Although, I do think this travel scenario is incredibly tough for the Grizzlies.
As much as it pains me, the rest of these suckers and I are rolling with the Warriors. Make sure you get the line at -4, even if you pony up a little more money in order to do so.
