Tuesday’s six-game NBA schedule as some great matchups for us to sit back and watch this evening. TNT has the national TV matchups, as the New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix Suns.
After last night’s 3-1 showing, that now brings my NBA season record to 15-5 ATS. Here are another three games to take advantage of:
NBA Picks Today (2/16/21)
Denver Nuggets at Boston Celtics
Spread: Celtics (-3)
Total: 221
DEN: normal rest, front-end b2b (@WSH tmrw)
BOS: 4 games in 6 days, front-end b2b (vs. ATL)
The Celtics haven’t been worth much attention of late, losing seven of their last 10. However, this is probably a good chance for them to get back on the good foot. Boston is playing good ball at home, going 5-2 SU/ATS as a home favorite this season. Early on today, the Celtics are already getting 70% of the betting handle.
This will be the first game of what was supposed to be a four-game East Coast road trip for the Nuggets. Unfortunately, the Friday game against the Charlotte Hornets has been postponed. Of course, Denver will be without Gary Harris and Will Barton while Jamal Murray is day-to-day with an ankle injury.
Betting Pick: Celtics -3

Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks
Spread: Bucks (-6.5)
Total: 235.5
TOR: normal rest
MIL: normal rest
This game has the highest total of the night, and it comes with good reasoning. Both teams have really been tossing this whole concept of defense onto the side of the highway. It’s certainly worth noting that the two teams (MIL: 6th, 61.5% – TOR: 7th, 59.3%) both rank in the top-10 of the rate of their games going over the total.
I understand that 235.5 points is a huge number to exceed, but these two teams are more than capable of running it up. This could turn into a fun track meet, considering the two teams are more than familiar with one another after their Eastern Conference Finals battle a couple of seasons ago.
Betting Pick: Over 235.5 points
Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix Suns
Spread: Suns (-3.5)
Totals: 231.5
BKN: back-end b2b (@SAC yesterday), 3 games in 4 days
PHX: 3 games in 4 days
The Nets have looked great on the first two games of this current West Coast road trip, but there is reason to believe that fun will end tonight. This will be the second game in as many nights for Brooklyn, so it is possible that we see Kyrie Irving get the night off; the team is already missing Kevin Durant for this matchup. There are two more games in Los Angeles at the end of the trip that are a lot more important on the national stage.
Now that Chris Paul has made his way out to the desert, the Suns are looking like a team that can make some legitimate noise in the playoffs. This is a squad that expects to win ball games, as evidenced by their 9-2 SU/ATS record as a home favorite this season. Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton could both be very effective in this matchup.
