Thursday’s three-game NBA schedule doesn’t have many contests on the slate, but they are sure are good ones. TNT has the national-TV doubleheader with the Toronto Raptors taking on the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets facing the Los Angeles Lakers.
Last night, I went 1-2-1 which marks my worst day of NBA picks this season (18-8-1 ATS overall). Not to worry, I do feel very confident in tonight’s slate, so I will be putting more of my bankroll on these games. Since there are only three games on tonight’s slate, consider parlaying all three teams I picked on the moneyline as a smaller side bet.
Here are my three best NBA picks on tonight’s slate:
NBA Picks Today (2/18/21)
- Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks (-6) – Total: 235.5
- Brooklyn Nets at Los Angeles Lakers (-2.5) – Total: 232
- Miami Heat (-1) at Sacramento Kings – Total: 226.5
Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks (-6) – Total: 235.5
TOR: normal rest, front-end b2b (@MIN tomorrow)
MIL: normal rest, front-end b2b (vs. OKC tomorrow)
This is probably the simplest explanation of anything I’ll have to do today. The Raptors defeated the Bucks 124-113 on Tuesday, so you know the latter of these teams will be coming out for blood this evening.
It makes sense that Toronto would have beat Milwaukee in that last matchup. These two teams have quite the history, and the Bucks may have forgotten that a couple of days ago. I expect them to be fully prepared tonight and coast to an easy victory.
Betting Pick: Bucks -6

Brooklyn Nets at Los Angeles Lakers (-2.5) – Total: 232
BKN: 3 games in 4 days, 4 games in 6 days (on West Coast trip since Sat)
LAL: normal rest
I was kind of shocked to see the Nets as underdogs in this matchup but here we are. For one, it looks like Kyrie Irving will be back in the lineup. And two, the Nets are playing some damn good basketball right now.
For the Lakers, they should be hurting without Anthony Davis, who will be reevaluated in the next 2-3 weeks. In the two games without him the Lakers are 1-1, with the one win being a very late comeback against a downtrodden Timberwolves team.
Betting Pick: Nets (+2.5)
Miami Heat (-1) at Sacramento Kings – Total: 226.5
MIA: back-end b2b (@SAC yesterday), 3 games in 4 days, 4 games in 6 days
SAC: 2 days rest (on current homestand since Feb. 9)
The Heat will be playing their second game in as many nights, in addition to a string of three games in four nights and four games in six nights. Meanwhile, the Kings have been on a homestand for the last nine days. Unfortunately, this homestand hasn’t produced any wins yet, but tonight is a good opportunity to do so.
Not only did the Heat play last night but it was an overtime game to boot. I’d expect the Kings to have a lot more energy and roll to victory. Plus, they can’t lose every game on this homestand… can they?
Betting Pick: Kings (+1)
