This week’s edition of Thursday Night Football takes us down South for an interconference matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans. There’s a lot riding on this game as both teams are looking to position themselves favorably before the playoffs. The Titans are currently in the lead for the AFC South crown while the 49ers can only get in as a wild card.
Here, I will provide the top Thursday Night Football picks, odds, and lines for the 49ers at Titans matchup tonight.
Thursday Night Football Picks – 49ers at Titans
Tennessee Titans +3.5
This will be a tough logistical trip for the 49ers this week, coming from the West Coast on a short week to face a team that plays in a time zone two hours earlier on their biological clocks. Yes, it’s a lot to take in, and the Titans should be able to take advantage of it.
I have been a huge backer of the 49ers in their run of five wins over the last six games. In fact, I actually picked against them in that one loss at Seattle. You can say I’ve got this team nailed down pretty well, so getting 3.5 points at home with the Titans feels extra special in this setting.

Under 44 Points
Teams that play the Steelers the week before often struggle in their next game. Pittsburgh is a very physical team that wears down the opposition throughout the game, so it’ll be interesting to see how Tennessee rebounds from the loss on Sunday.
I don’t think the detriment is as large this week, considering San Francisco has to make a huge trip East on a short week – the negatives basically cross each other off from a competitive aspect. I believe we’ll see the effects in the game total, as both teams love to run the football and chew up some clock. Not to mention, the Titans are a lot less deadly in the red zone without Derrick Henry.

Brandon Aiyuk – Over 48.5 Receiving Yards
Aiyuk has rebounded nicely after a tumultuous start to the season, and we can see that 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo is happy about it as well. Now, Jimmy G has a serious trio of options in Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle to throw the ball to.
I like Aiyuk in this matchup because it feels as if San Francisco will need to throw the ball more than often. The 49ers love to establish the run, but they may get off to a slow start in this one. If that’s the case, Aiyuk will be there to soak up plenty of targets. In the blowout win against Atlanta on Sunday, he wasn’t needed that much. Hey, Jimmy G! Aiyuk is well-rested, so make sure you get him the football!
