Micah Parsons (+500) wasn’t the first defensive player taken in the 2021 draft, but he is leading these odds by a wide margin, according to William Hill. Coming out of Penn State, Parsons will look to anchor a Dallas defense that desperately needs it. Sean Lee and Kyle Vanden Bosch have both been previously derailed by injuries, so the hope is that Parsons can sure up that side of the football.
It was certainly head-scratching to see Jaycee Horn and Pat Surtain II listed all the way down on this list. After all, they were the first two defensive players taken in the draft and will be thrown right in the fire.
Jaelan Phillips didn’t have to go too far from the University of Miami to the Miami Dolphins. He, and along with Kwity Paye, are both EDGE rushers with odds listed at +900. Paye will be playing for the Indianapolis Colts, so the two of them will both be on successful teams with a chance to thrive in a winning system.
