This week’s edition of Saturday Night Football has two matchups, but we’ll focus on the first of those — Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos — for this article. The Chiefs are looking to put themselves into a better position for the playoffs while the Broncos have already booked their vacation plans for after this game.
Here, I will provide the top NFL Football picks, odds, and lines for the Chiefs at Broncos matchups tonight.
Saturday Night Football Picks – Chiefs at Broncos
Chiefs | Broncos | |
Moneyline | -450 | +380 |
Points Spread | -10 (-110) | +10 (-110) |
Totals | o44.5 (-110) | u44.5 (-110) |
Chiefs at Broncos – Expert Pick Against The Spread
Pick: Chiefs -10 (-110)
The Chiefs do have a path to getting the AFC’s No. 1 seed, but it will require a win this game against the Broncos – and the Houston Texans beating the Tennessee Titans in the final week of the regular season. The latter part probably won’t happen, but you never know in this league. The Texans did defeat the Los Angeles Chargers just a couple of weeks ago on this same field.
I believe the Chiefs will take care of business in front of the national TV audience and let everyone know that they are ready for the playoffs. We saw the Broncos get absolutely wrecked last season in a Saturday afternoon game against a similarly talented Buffalo Bills team. The Broncos have nothing left to play for to end this season, and Teddy Bridgewater won’t be available to save the day. Drew Lock has a shoulder injury and, if he can’t go, it could be Brett Rypien getting the nod.
Chiefs at Broncos – Over/Under Pick
Pick: Under 44.5 Points (-110)
With that news of Lock possibly not being available, I don’t see the Chiefs needing too much urgency in this matchup against the Broncos. KC certainly doesn’t want to get anyone hurt in this game, but they do need to win. Look for there to be longer, clock-killing drives led by Patrick Mahomes & Co.
It’s crazy to see 44.5 points as the total for a Chiefs game, but I also believe that is very telling to what the end of the story could be. The last time these two teams played, Denver basically played keep-away from the KC offensive the entire time.
Chiefs at Broncos – Player Prop
Tyreek Hill – Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Hill wasn’t much of a factor in last week’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. However, I would expect Mahomes to get him going before they head into the playoffs, and very likely an opening-round matchup.
I would not be surprised if Hill exceeds the 62.5-yards mark in just one or two catches. After all, Denver’s defense is not what it used to be and this team has already checked out on the 2021-22 season.
