Thanksgiving Day is usually a great day to spend time with the family and sit down and watch some NFL football throughout the day. This year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic is making us change plans across the globe. Nevertheless, we’ll all be dialed into the games more in-depth than usual.
In this article, I will identify the best prop bet from each of the three games with odds from Bet365.

Duke Johnson (Houston Texans) at Detroit Lions
Thursday, 12:30 pm EST | Watch: CBS
Ford Field – Detroit, MI
Over 52.5 Rushing Yards (-120)
The Lions’ run defense ranks third-worst in the NFL in yards allowed per game (139) and fifth-worst in DVOA. Detroit has allowed massive rushing outputs to Dalvin Cook (206) and Aaron Jones (168) and nine others to rush for 63+ yards.
Over the last three weeks with fellow RB David Johnson out of the lineup, Duke has received at least 10+ carries in each game with CJ Prosise only getting a handful of carries. This is clearly the best matchup he’ll have since getting the starting role; on a short week, Duke should get his highest number of carries on the season.
Side note here at the end: If D’Andre Swift (questionable, concussion) ends up playing, he’ll be a much better bet to take advantage of Houston’s league-worst rushing defense.
Ezekiel Elliott (Dallas Cowboys) vs. Washington Football Team
Thursday, 4:30 pm EST | Watch: FOX
AT&T Stadium – Arlington, TX
Over 16.5 Rushing Attempts (-115)
Washington’s pass defense is allowing the fewest yards per game (195.4), so we should expect Dallas to run the football quite a bit here. While there is some threat of fellow RB Tony Pollard coming in and taking some carries, Zeke is the one that’ll be doing most of the rumbling on Thanksgiving Day.
Elliott has exceed the 16.5-carry mark in each of the last three games and just had his best game of the season in Week 11, going for 103 yards on 21 carries against the Minnesota Vikings.
Zeke has rushed the ball at least 18 times in six of his eight meetings with Washington, with six of them also going for 80+ yards- five of them went for 100+.
Marquise Brown (Baltimore Ravens) at Pittsburgh Steelers (Moved to Sunday)
Thursday, 8:20 pm EST | Watch: NBC
Heinz Field – Pittsburgh, PA
Over ??? Receiving Yards (prop/odds not available yet)
Well, it certainly hasn’t been a memorable season for Hollywood Brown, but things are actually looking up for him in this matchup against the Steelers. One thing we do know about the current version of the Steel Curtain defense is that they can get beat.
Brown was actually held without any catches on three targets in last week’s game against the Tennessee Titans, which makes me really love his chances to bounce back. Players, WRs in particular, that usually have this happen to them tend to be looked more often for more targets.
We all need a holiday miracle in our lives. Why not let Hollywood Brown be the one to give it to us?
