The Week 6 NFL schedule ends with a fantastic matchup on Monday Night Football between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. It’ll be an intriguing sequence of events as the Cardinals, at 3-2, will look to avoid falling to .500 while the Cowboys, at 2-3, will look to get there.
This will be the first start for Dallas QB Andy Dalton with the team after Dak Prescott suffered a gruesome ankle injury and is now out for the rest of the season. We can probably expect a much slower pace than the Cowboys have been used to early this season, letting RB Ezekiel Elliott run the ball and control the clock by picking up first downs.
In this article, I’ll identify the best value in prop bets for this game between the Cardinals and Cowboys. The odds on these props come to us courtesy of Bet365 and William Hill.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys
8:15 p.m. EST | Watch: ESPN
AT&T Stadium – Arlington, TX
Projected Weather: 57° F, Calm
DeAndre Hopkins – Over 7.5 Receptions (+110) + Over 88.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
To be clear, I would have taken the over on these Hopkins prop bets if the receptions were at double digits and the yards at triple digits – I said this on the Taking Sides podcast this week and still feel the same way.
Hopkins’ numbers this season are clinically insane:
Wk1: @ SF | 14 rec, 16 targ, 151 yds |
Wk2: vs. WSH | 8 rec, 9 targ, 68 yds, TD |
Wk3: vs. DET | 10 rec, 12 targ, 137 yds |
Wk4: @ CAR | 7 rec, 9 targ, 41 yds |
Wk5: @ NYJ | 6 rec, 7 targ, 131 yds, TD |
When looking at some of the star WRs to face Dallas this season, Hopkins finds himself in a dream matchup:
Darius Slayton (NYG) | 8 rec, 11 targ, 129 yds |
DK Metcalf (SEA) | 4 rec, 8 targ, 110 yds, TD |
Calvin Ridley (ATL) | 7 rec, 10 targ, 109 yds, 2 TDs |
Robert Woods (LAR) | 6 rec, 8 targ, 105 yds |
Tyler Lockett (SEA) | 9 rec, 13 targ, 100 yds, 3 TDs |
Odell Beckham (CLE) | 5 rec, 8 targ, 81 yds, 2 TDs |
Ezekiel Elliott – Over 125.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (+110)
Zeke hasn’t rushed for 100+ yards yet, and the Cardinals have yet to allow a 100-yard rusher this season; that’s OK for this prop bet because we’re going with the total rushing and receiving yards.
Zeke has rushing totals of 96 (@LAR), 89 (vs. ATL), and 91 (vs. NYG) this season but it’s the passing game where he can do some damage. He’s been fairly active catching the ball from the backfield.
Wk1: @ LAR | 3 rec, 4 targ, 31 yds, TD |
Wk2: vs. ATL | 6 rec, 7 targ, 33 yds |
Wk3: @ SEA | 6 rec, 11 targ, 24 yds |
Wk4: vs. CLE | 8 rec, 8 targ, 71 yds |
Wk5: vs. NYG | 1 rec, 2 targ, 14 yds |
Arizona always ratchets up the tempo, so that means Dallas will see the football on offense a lot more than usual. More time of possession = more yards. Duh.

Kyler Murray – Any Time Touchdown (+110)
To be clear on the rules here, Murray does have to run (or catch) the TD. Nevertheless, there’s reason to believe he can get this done.
Murray played his high school football in the state of Texas, so there’s some added incentive to make some exciting plays. The second-year signal caller already has nine career rushing TDs and the added spotlight of Monday Night Football will have him on top of his game. It’s kind of odd to see a QB with TD odds this low, but Murray is certainly a special caliber of player.
This season, Murray already has five of those nine career rushing TDs.
