The Sunday slate in NFL Week 10 gets capped off with a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. And with that in mind, I have turned my attention to my Sunday Night Football picks once again. Here are the three best areas of profitability in the Sunday Night Football NFL picks.
Sunday Night Football Picks For Chiefs at Raiders
Chiefs (-2.5)
Things haven’t been going great for the Chiefs since losing last year’s Super Bowl against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Of course, we have seen the reality of the Super Bowl hangover, and the Chiefs have been one of the final four teams left at the end in each of the last three seasons. So, there was bound to be a rough streak for the Chiefs, but it’s all about managing the severity of it.
KC still has the NFL’s best trio of Patrick Mahomes to feed the rock to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Meanwhile, the Raiders are going through their own dramatic period in time, so I don’t see them having any type of advantage here.
Over 52 Points
At least 49 points have been scored in each of the last three meetings between the Chiefs and Raiders. Last year was particularly unique, as each team scored at least 30 points in both of the contests.
Prior to last week’s dud against the New York Giants, the Raiders did put up 30+ points in the previous two games. Below, I will provide the KC basis to this bet, because it has a lot to do with the guy throwing the passes.
Patrick Mahomes – Over 287.5 Passing Yards
Mahomes has thrown for at least 340 yards in three of his last four meetings against the Raiders. So, this would explain the total going over 49 points in the above bet, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that happen again.
Mahomes and the Chiefs offense have mustered no more than 20 points in each of the last three games, and that’s something that just can’t stay that way forever. Therefore, look for Mahomes to have a familiar outcome and light it up against the Raiders.
