The Sunday slate in NFL Week 11 gets capped off with a matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers. And with that in mind, I have turned my attention to my Sunday Night Football picks once again. Here are the three best areas of profitability in the Sunday Night Football NFL picks.
Sunday Night Football Picks For Steelers at Chargers
Chargers (-5.5)
It looks like the Steelers will be without a few more players this week. QB Ben Roethlisberger and S Minkah Fitzpatrick both have some level of question or doubt, and the line has moved up about two points from the open.
The Chargers are due for a big night here, especially in a rare primetime matchup for QB Justin Herbert. LA has lost three of its last four games, but two of them did come by one possession.
Under 47 Points (-110)
It doesn’t matter who the Steelers have at QB, either Roethlisberger or Mason Rudolph isn’t much of a threat to beat the Chargers secondary deep.
On the other side, Pittsburgh’s defense takes a big hit with the loss of JJ Watt, but it’s not like the Chargers are moving the ball at an electric pace either. It doesn’t seem like there would be much urgency for Herbert to have a career night or anything. Look for both teams to be more strategic, rather than force deep throws down the field.
Pat Freiermuth – Over 3.5 Receptions + Over 33.5 Receiving Yards
Tight ends have been having a ton of success against the Chargers this season, so Freiermuth is certainly in line to be the next one. Just last week, Vikings TE Ty Conklin didn’t even have a great game but still managed to have two touchdowns on only three catches for 11 yards.
Basically, it just always seems to work out no matter what happens; tight ends just do damage. Freiermuth has burst onto the scene with 21 receptions on 29 targets for 176 yards and three touchdowns. We’d probably like to see Freiermuth catching passes from Roethlisberger since he seems to love finding the young tight end often.
