The Sunday slate in NFL Week 9 gets capped off with a matchup between the Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams. And with that in mind, I have turned my attention to my Sunday Night Football picks once again. Here are the three best areas of profitability in the Sunday Night Football NFL picks:
Sunday Night Football Picks For Titans at Rams
Titans +7.5
Some folks may be down on the Titans with the lengthy injury to Derrick Henry. However, this could be just the kick in the ass that the passing offense needed. Ryan Tannehill has looked pretty sharp here in each game during Tennessee’s four-game winning streak, with the last two producing totals of 265 and 270 passing yards. Of course, the Rams do have one of the best defenses in football, but +7.5 is the key number that we’re looking for here. I do believe the Titans keep this within a one-score game. If you can, it certainly makes sense to buy up to +8 in this scenario if, but I have noticed more sportsbooks not allowing you to buy the whole number.
Over 52.5 Points (-110)
While the number of bets is split on the total, the over is getting over 90% of the money in this Rams-Titans matchup. And it makes sense, especially when I talk about the next prop bet. As I mentioned earlier, Tannehill has been playing better and the team will need to rely on him more with Henry out. The Rams’ offense is in a fantastic spot here, considering the Titans rank 24th in yards allowed per pass. Not to mention, Tennessee also ranks 28th DVOA against the run.
Matthew Stafford – Over 301.5 Passing Yards (-115)
As just mentioned, Stafford will take aim at a Titans’ defense that is getting shredded through the air. Stafford has thrown for 300+ yards five times this season- also in each of the two games, and in three of the last four. The Rams released WR DeSean Jackson this week, but there are plenty of other guys in the room to make things work. WR Cooper Kupp is destroying secondaries across the league, so I would expect him to be the beneficiary of quite a few targets from Stafford.
