Philadelphia Flyers at New York Islanders
NHL Pick: Flyers ML (+170)
Looking at the betting landscape this afternoon, the Islanders are getting 77% of the bets while the Flyers are getting nearly all of the money (96%). Philly has lost seven straight games, but the last three have come by one goal. In fact, you could say there are due for a win tonight.
This will be the first meeting between the teams this season, with the Islanders coming in on much better form winning three of their last four. However, the money has spoken and that’s just too much for me to overlook. Anyways, the Islanders’ last few wins have come against lesser opponents.
Nashville Predators at St. Louis Blues
NHL Pick: Blues ML (-130)
The Blues have been strong on this current homestand, winning three of the four games. In fact, St. Louis has only allowed one goal three different times during the hot run at home.
I’m taking the Blues in this matchup, considering they owe the Predators a bit of payback. When the two teams met earlier this season, Nashville got the 4-3 win in overtime. By the way, the Predators have dropped their last two games as well.
Arizona Coyotes at Colorado Avalanche
NHL Pick: Golden Knights ML (-110)
The Golden Knights have cooled off a bit recently and a lot of these games have been at home, which is very surprising. Vegas has lost four of its last five games, although all of them were one-goal losses.
I believe the Golden Knights get back on track tonight, even though this is against a tough Penguins team. Pittsburgh has gone 3-2 on this current road trip, so it feels like they’re happy with their performance so far. This is a game that Vegas needs much more, as a win would make the freefall pause in the short term.
