Thursday night’s NHL schedule is an exciting one to bring some action during the middle of the week. But, for my NHL picks today, we will focus on betting opportunities in St. Louis Blues at Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks at New York Islanders & New Jersey Devils at Minnesota Wild.
In this article, I will provide my top three hockey picks tonight to make a maximum profit.
Our Favorite NHL Picks Today (12/2/21)
St. Louis Blues at Tampa Bay Lightning
Blues | Lightning | |
ML | +140 | -160 |
Puck Line | +1.5 (-175) | -1.5 (+150) |
Totals | O5.5 (-110) | U5.5 (-110) |
These two teams just met, with the Blues overcoming a 3-0 deficit to eventually win in a shootout. Now, St. Louis will look to end a four-game road losing streak. It will be a tall order as the Lightning is 7-3-2 at Amalie Arena this season. The two-time defending champs have lost two straight games, and three in a row isn’t something that doesn’t happen too often. Tampa Bay should be quite focused to get back on track tonight, so let’s take them with plenty of confidence.
Pick: Lightning ML (-160)
San Jose Sharks at New York Islanders
Sharks | Islanders | |
ML | +120 | -140 |
Puck Line | +1.5 (-210) | -1.5 (+175) |
Totals | O5.5 (+105) | U5.5 (-125) |
It has been a dreadful start for the Islanders, and the new building isn’t making matters any better. After 13 straight road games to start the season, New York has failed to win a game in four tries at UBS Arena. However, tonight is the night that the trend will be broken.
Looking at the betting landscape, we’re seeing the number of bets split on the teams but the Islanders getting nearly 80% of the money. The only legitimate conclusion is that they are due. After all, New York has lost eight straight games while San Jose has won four of five. It’s certainly head-scratching as well to see the Islanders favored in this scenario, but we’ll take in stride with the pick.
Pick: Islanders ML (-140)
New Jersey Devils at Minnesota Wild
Devils | Wild | |
ML | +150 | -175 |
Puck Line | +1.5 (-160) | -1.5 (+140) |
Totals | O6 (-120) | U6 (+100) |
Lots of money is coming in on the Wild tonight, and it comes with good reasoning. Minnesota has won four straight games, getting that streak started with a win against this same New Jersey team it’ll see tonight. In that game, the Devils dropped a narrow 3-2 contest and we’re thinking that the same can happen tonight- hopefully much easier this time. New Jersey has even dropped three of its last four games.
Pick: Wild ML (-175)
